We discovered Zuma by chance over the Fourth of July weekend after following the sound of great music, and we’re so glad we did! From the moment we arrived, Donna, Angela, and Victoria made us feel incredibly welcome. Donna even gave us a tour of this stunning venue.
The atmosphere is fantastic—live DJ, great music at the perfect volume for conversation, beautiful spaces (including intimate private dining rooms), and an exciting menu. Jack, the Assistant GM, shared fascinating insights about Zuma and its locations around the world. Bartenders Jake and Austin were excellent, and the Japanese Margarita was phenomenal—possibly the best I’ve ever had.
A wonderful experience from start to finish. I highly recommend checking out Zuma!

Zuma Vail was one of the highlights of our trip. The food was incredible from start to finish, and the tempura was easily some of the best I've ever had—perfectly light, crispy, and full of flavor. The cocktails were excellent, and the service was attentive, friendly, and made the entire experience feel special. The biggest surprise of the night was the maple whisky dessert. It was unlike anything I've had before and balanced the flavors perfectly. It was rich, creative, and memorable in all the best ways. If you're in Vail and looking for an exceptional dining experience, Zuma is absolutely worth a visit.

Wow - what an incredible evening at Zuma! Every detail from the minute we walked in was perfect. We had a lovely greeting by the hostesses, our table setting was perfect, the atmosphere is fun and lively, and our server Constantine was top notch! He new what we wanted or needed before we did. Every bite of our food was delicious and we were surprised by an amazing dessert at the end - thank you Nigel and James ( I really appreciate you coming to say hello and for your kindness). I can't wait to go back! Thank you Zuma staff for an incredible night out in Vail!

Zuma Vail exceeded every expectation and made our engagement celebration feel incredibly special.
From the moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond. They surprised us with a custom sushi roll as a welcome gift, which was such a thoughtful touch and immediately set the tone for an unforgettable evening.
One of the coolest parts of the experience is Zuma’s concept. The menu is prepared across three separate kitchens—the main kitchen, sushi bar, and robata grill. We also learned that the robata grill uses imported Japanese charcoal, which made us appreciate the attention to authenticity and detail even more.
The bar team was outstanding. My fiancé asked if they could make a peach, yuzu, ginger sour that wasn’t on the menu, and they happily created it from scratch. It ended up being one of the best cocktails of the night.
Every dish we ordered was outstanding. The avocado salad was fresh, vibrant, and one of our favorite starters, while the Chilean sea bass was cooked beautifully and packed with flavor. The uni was incredibly fresh and absolutely worth ordering. We also loved the custom sushi roll they surprised us with, and every piece of sushi reflected the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the chefs. To end the evening, we shared both desserts—the milk chocolate crémeux with mango sorbet and the exotic chawan mushi with coconut custard, fresh mango, papaya, passion fruit foam, and egg roll biscuit. Both were exceptional, and learning that every dessert is made in-house made them even more impressive.
Beyond the food, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely excited to help us celebrate such a special milestone. Zuma Vail delivers not only incredible Japanese cuisine but an entire dining experience. We can’t wait to come back the next time we’re in Vail.

Absolutely superb in all aspects: food, service, and ambience. I mean it’s difficult to describe how great the experience and especially the food was.
My friend and I were at a two top table, we ate for nearly four hours. We didn’t have a disappointing bite. The beautiful property of Sebastian, teamed up with this world renowned Japanese; may have just taken over the best dining spot in Vial!
Our favorites were the soft shell crab appetizer, Calamari (not fried). Short rib skewers, rib eye melts in your mouth.
Every sushi roll we tried. Even the simplest California roll is super elevated.
I work in the business, and can’t remember the last time I was this impressed.
I could go on and on about then food I’m missing, but the Japanese old fashions they serve are making me forget.
