  Easily the best restaurant I went to on my trip to steamboat. We went during happy hour and got 6 rolls for a good price and the rolls were absolutely excellent. If I come back to steamboat I will absolutely come back. Definitely recommend.

  Loved the food and the vibe! The miso soup was delicious, the ikura was wonderful, and the Koji Roll was fantastic. The Samari Roll was packed with flavorful tuna and crispy fried shrimp inside—so good! Order a bottle of dry Asahi beer, and if you’re not dining downstairs in the cozy, intimate cellar, be sure to sit at the bar and be entertained by the “Samari” Chef Tahk. Such a fun experience. We will definitely be back!

  This is some of the best sushi I've ever had and sushi is one of my major food groups :). The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Particularly obsessed with the Dynamite Roll (spicy) and the scallop nigiri.
