NO SOUP FOR ME!! I hadn't been to Panera very recently, so today it sounded good and I stopped in to give it a try. What a HUGE mistake! I stood around for 5-10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me to place an order. I ordered the Bacon Turkey Bravo (whole) sandwich, a bowl of Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup, and a fountain drink. I didn't even look at the prices, because I knew exactly what I wanted. But I did ask if they had a military discount, which they did not. When the cashier told me the total, I had a physical, unplanned verbal response, similar to Homer Simpson's "Doh!!" It was nearly $29 for just those three items! I was hungry, so I went with it. Sadly, the bread was sliced much thinner than it used to be, and it was dry. There was about half as much meat as this sandwich used to have, and the accompanying bag of chips was tiny, and crushed into mostly crumbs. The soup was thin and lacking of substanc--hardly worthy of being called "Homestyle." This used to be my go-to meal, but after today I'll take a hard pass in the future. The prices are actually offensive. With my tip, the bill was $32!! There is no way on this earth that a sandwich, soup, and drink should be this much. That should have gotten me a fairly nice sit-down meal, and even then I would have felt a bit guilty at spending so much on just a meal for myself. My advice: skip this place until they get reasonable again, provide attentive and prompt service, and stop skimping on bread, meat, soup contents, etc.
