  I took my best friend Allie to Stone House for a celebration dinner for her promotion, and I really wanted to make the night special. She’s the kind of person who goes out of her way to make everyone around her feel seen, heard, and appreciated, so I wanted to give her that same energy and celebrate her properly. 🥂✨ From the moment we arrived, the experience was amazing. I had left a note with Allie’s allergies and mentioned that we were celebrating her promotion, and I asked if they could help us with a champagne toast and recommend a good bottle of white wine since that’s her favorite. Everything was handled beautifully. And I HAVE to give Bethany her flowers because our service was phenomenal. She was attentive without hovering, knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely made us feel taken care of. She picked the perfect wine recommendation, made sure we were good throughout the entire meal, and helped make the night feel like an actual celebration instead of just another dinner. That kind of service deserves to be recognized because we don’t always take the time to say it when someone really gets it right. ❤️ And the FOOD?! Amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful, and we absolutely had a TIME. 😂🥂 Our bill came out to $158, and I happily made it an even $200 because the experience was worth it. Good food, beautiful atmosphere, thoughtful service, and a special night with someone I love celebrating. You really can’t ask for much more than that. Stone House, you did your thing. And Bethany, thank you for helping make Allie’s night as special as I hoped it would be. She deserved it. 🥂🤍 10/10. I’d absolutely come back.

  From the moment you walk through the door, the Stone House feels like a hidden small-town gem with the polish, energy, and quality of a big-city destination—offering exceptional service, inviting ambiance, and genuinely delicious food and drinks. The service is exceptional, and the owners genuinely make an effort to connect with their guests. They took the time to check on us throughout the evening and even went out of their way to purchase more Pellegrino for our table. It’s those little touches that make this establishment worth not missing. The ambiance is equally inviting, with a lively Friday-night atmosphere and tables filled with people enjoying good food, drinks, and conversation. It has that comfortable small-town feel, but with the energy and quality you’d expect from a much larger destination. Make reservations early as people were turned away for the evening because the restaurant was booked for the night. Be sure to ask about the specials. I tried the jalapeño popper burger, and it was full of flavor and ample size. To our surprise The bartenders knew how to make an exceptional old fashion and it was reasonably priced. If you’re traveling to or through the area, make a point to stop at the Stone House. Great food, generous portions, exceptional service, a welcoming atmosphere, and drinks made right—it’s a small-town restaurant with a big-town presence that won’t disappoint.

  I have been going to Stone House since I move to Montrose 7 years ago. I have always been met with excellent food, drinks and service. The other night a friend and I went and sat at the bar. Everything as stated previously was excellent. The bartender (awesome) chatted us up (as she was able) and we had a great time talking with her. She continued to do her duties waiting, serving and getting drinks for customers (I've never seen a bartender do all this). Anyway, I'm not sure what was going on that evening but the owner interrupted our conversation twice to tell her to go do something else. Basically she had probably done more than her job description. And isn't a bartender's job to talk to customers and make them feel welcome? Obviously he was not happy with our conversing and having fun! We spent over a $150 on steaks and found his actions to be very offensive. For the first time I felt like we weren't important enough to be there. I think the bartender was very upset. She didn't say a word about it but we could tell. It will be a while before I go back. We don't need an apology but the bartender certainly does.

  I came here with my husband on our honeymoon, and we had such a wonderful experience! He has several food allergies, which I had left a note about in our reservation booking. Our server, Bethany, was so knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients, and she took extra care to make sure the kitchen staff were aware of his dietary restrictions. It meant so much to both of us to feel at ease enjoying a nice meal with the special attention they took to make it safe for him.

  My husband and I used Stonehouse as the caterers for our wedding, and I have so many great things to say about them. We worked with Cassei, who we met with in the restaurant a few times before the big day. One time she had to leave the restaurant to take care of a sick child, and she called us from home as we enjoyed a meal at Stonehouse. She had such a calm, understanding demeanor, and I really appreciated all of the helpful suggestions she offered us. With all of the stress that came along with planning a wedding at an unfinished house, I never stressed about how the caterers would handle things. We presented her and the other staff with a difficult situation and an unfinished venue, and they eased our stress assuring us anything we wanted they could make happen. And they delivered. I think every guest came up to us to tell us how amazing the food was and that David was an awesome bartender creating delicious drinks. Daniel served amazing prime rib, and my personal favorite was the salmon crostinis. There was plenty of leftover food and we were able to heat it up and provide appetizers for a get together the day after. I would 100% recommend Stonehouse and Cassei for anyone planning on having delicious food and amazing service at their wedding.
