We are a classic American steak house located in Montrose Colorado, providing upscale dining to casual people. We believe that everyone deserves to have a great dining experience, so please come as you are and enjoy our great selection of steaks, seafood, pasta, salads and desserts. The Stone House opened the doors in December 2008 as a family owned restaurant and has been serving the local and tourist market proudly ever since. The Stone House restaurant today is a beautiful stone and wood building located on Highway 550 across from Walmart, but it started as an old ’50s style diner that looked like a metal trailer. We invite you to join us for lunch, dinner or for our Sunday breakfast buffet. We look forward to meeting you!

    Walked in hostess asks if we have reservations we said no proceeds to take us to a table and practically tosses menus and walks away. Wait staff was great

    After being seated, we waited for the server to appear, was finally given water after 5 minutes of waiting by the water girl. Server finally appeared after 10 minutes and took our drink order/food order finally. (It was nit busy at all) Then proceeded to bring the salad and said she would be back with the drinks and seemed rude. Finally decided to leave after being fed up with how rude the waitress was. The total was $16.40 for one salad, and two soft drinks. Was not worth the $16. The Dr. Pepper that my girlfriend received was flat and watered down. Trash experience and Trash place. Went to Buckaroos for pizza up the road, highly recommend going there for food instead of this place.

    I came in near closing, I drive truck for a living, so I came in after a long drive and looking like it. They seated me and were prompt and friendly with their service. The clam chowder is the best I have ever had! The 8oz. sirloin was so juicy and tender! I recommend this restaurant for anyone passing through!

    Cool atmosphere but server wasn't very attentive and not impressed with steaks. Neither had much, if any seasoning. Very expensive for steak cuts and one of ours had a huge chunk of fat.

    Stone House did exactly what great restaurants should do. We called at the last minute with a party of 20, and they somehow made it work. From the moment we arrived, everyone was kind, accommodating, and genuinely happy to help. Olivia was fantastic!! she was quick, efficient, friendly, and handled all the chaos our group brought with complete grace. The food was excellent, and I’d highly recommend the spinach artichoke dip and the calamari. Great service, great food, and a team that goes above and beyond. Highly recommend!
