When I went through the drive-thru, the employee called me “Filipe,” even though that’s not my name, and it felt like he made that assumption simply because I’m brown. It came across as disrespectful and made me feel stereotyped. To make matters worse, when I politely asked for my receipt, the employee closed the drive-thru window in my face without responding. The interaction was unprofessional and left me feeling unwelcome. I understand that mistakes happen, but customers should be treated with respect and courtesy regardless of their appearance. I hope management addresses this with their staff so others don’t have a similar experience.
