- RKRichard Klassen4 days ago1.0Safeway is objectively worse than Soopers in all ways except the app. But, it too, is awful. That being said, this particular Safeway is one of the worst managed worst stocked worst selection grocery store I’ve ever been in. This photo of the meat dept is not from COVID days, no no, this was LAST NIGHT at 7:00pm. I hate that this is my neighborhood store.

We'll the deli line itself was already closed but their were plenty of hot food options in the warmer so no problem. Except that ALL that hot food was prepared BEFORE lunch so it had been sitting since 11:12. Almost an entire 8 hr work shift so I left with nothing. I dont who is on quality control at this Safeway but they might need to retrain their staff.

She also spoke harshly to a younger employee, which was uncomfortable to witness. The overall experience felt unwelcoming, and I hope there’s more focus on respectful customer service and staff interaction.

The real downfall is that nobody is monitoring expiration dates on ANY of their product. Tortilla end cap, is always past due, we don’t even stop to look anymore. Random salsa, pasta due. Random refrigerated sausage, past due. It’s so remarkably bad here.
