  Someone called in sick but the waitress who was assigned to our party with Hall Financial on May 13 was most gracious and excellent at serving our big group. My fillet steak was excellent, and the person I was dining next to you said her salmon was also excellent.

  Have been to many upscale restaurants, and this restaurant does have a wonderful view of downtown Denver. Unfortunately, for Mother’s Day 2026, the food missed the mark. For 3 people, with 1 sparkling rosé and 1 dessert, the bill was almost $250 after tip. The person taking care of our table was good and we had no issues with the staff. The problem was the food itself. Each dinner plate was mediocre and there were no Mother’s Day specials. The prime rib became so bland and unremarkable halfway through that I could not even finish it, let alone box it up for lunch the next day. No leftovers were taken home except for a second starter bread. After a dinner at this price point, the feeling should be: “Wow, that was expensive but worth it.” Instead, it turned into: “How did that cost so much?” The 3rd star was mostly for the view.

  I recently coordinated a VIP dinner at Simms. The event staff were incredibly pleasant to work with—responsive, flexible, and accommodating even with last‑minute changes. Although I wasn’t present during the actual dinner, I received wonderful feedback from my boss about JP and SJ. They were attentive, professional, and provided excellent service throughout the evening. I’m grateful that I could step away knowing the event was in great hands and would be executed smoothly by such a reliable team.

  Simms is such a great date night spot. The martinis are spot on, the bar has a really cool, upscale feel, and the overall atmosphere just makes the night feel special. It is the kind of place you actually look forward to getting dressed up for. Incredible view! Highly recommend for a night out, especially the bar or patio. The French onion soup is also the best I've had in Denver by a landslide

  I’ve lived in Denver for years, and Simms Steakhouse is one of the city’s best hidden gems and easily deserves 5 stars. This is probably the best restaurant I’ve eaten at in Denver. The steak was cooked to perfection, the patio views are incredible, and it’s just a quick 10 minute drive outside the city. It is run by great people, the staff is excellent, and the bar area has some of the best views around. If you want an incredible steak, a great martini, and the best French onion soup you will ever have, this is a must visit.
