- MMMikeJun 29, 20265.0We had so much need fun for the whole family. The staff was amazing. I spoke with the manager, about setting up this last min birthday party 🎂 so helpful. We need a place for all ages that was open to having kids aka young adults under the age of 21. Stay past 8am.

The Main Event Highlands Ranch website clearly listed a 10:00 AM opening time, so we arrived expecting to bowl with our family. Instead, we were turned away because the facility had been reserved for a field trip. While I completely understand hosting school groups or private events, what I don't understand is why the business hours weren't updated online or why there wasn't any advance notice for customers. What made the experience even more frustrating was the interaction with the employee at the front desk. Rather than apologizing or showing any empathy, we were simply told, "Yeah. It's a field trip, you can't bowl." There was no apology, no explanation beyond that, and no attempt to offer an alternative or let us know when lanes would be available. When families plan around young kids, load everyone into the car, and drive out expecting a business to be open during its posted hours, it's incredibly disappointing to be turned away without so much as a simple "We're sorry." I hope management does a better job communicating closures or private events and provides employees with better customer service training. A small apology and updated business hours would have gone a long way.

The ice hockey was missing a puck, the racing game screen was stuck…I would say 70% of the games I played had some issue, and I know it wasn’t just me because other people in my group would say, “are the games not working for you either?” I mean I know it’s bound to happen, but almost ALL of them? I will never go again, that’s all I know. The only positive was a worker there, he was a guy with mid length hair, his energy and positivity was nice to see.

- CACole AllSmithJun 18, 20264.0For the second year in a row a group of coworkers made the Main Event our choice of location for our end of the year after party. We enjoyed our time bowling and enjoying adult beverages, with small complaints about delay in drinks (ex. there were some issues with a keg etc.) and technology (one of our lanes stalled reloading pins throwing of some of our rhythm) but once our hour of bowling was done and we were debating between staying to play some games or moving to a third location Ray swooped in and saved the day. For me that looked like a grenadine and lemonade combo that put my heartburn to rest long enough to enjoy another drink and some quesadillas; for many of my friends it was helping us navigate the happy hour menu and finding the right drink for our different tastes and needs. Ray's energy, her happy personality, quirky demeanor and genuine overlap in interests kept us at the bar for another half-hour or more than we had initially planned. Enjoying our time with her service, the way she politely navigated meeting others' needs, and still returned to take care of us. We then spent another half-hour or so gaming in the arcade. All in all, Ray was the highlight of our night at the Main Event.
