My wife, son and myself came here for Fathers Day breakfast 6/21/26. This is our first time to Grand Junction, and what a wonderful experience this was. Heather was our server and she was over the top wonderful, great attitude, attentive, and despite being busy made us feel like we were the only ones here. Food was amazing, we split the biscuits and gravy after the monstrous cinnamon roll.
The old Union Station houses the #pufferbellyrestaurant.
At first glance the large windows look like paintings of beautiful mountain scapes. As the Amtrac train pulls into Union Station the large picture windows come alive with it's passengers heading off on there excursions.
King sized cinnamon rolls, hatch green chili gravy over pillowy soft cats-head sized biscuits, they have the standard and not so standard breakfast combinations.
Delicious food and home made goodness you won't want to miss.
Great spot in Grand Junction for breakfast and lunch. I've never eaten lunch though. Food is great and the service was excellent. Our server was extremely busy, yet fast and attentive.
Expect a wait. Pufferbelly gets busy and after you eat there you will see why. It is a family restaurant so it can get loud.
Our waitress told us that they have the best biscuits, bacon, and cinnamon rolls this side of the divide. She wasn't exaggerating! Fluffy, hearty biscuits in a flavorful meat gravy. Bacon that's perfectly thick, chewy, and crisp. The banana nut caramel crepes were delicious, sweet enough to satisfy but not heavy. The service was wonderful and fast. They even made sure to seat us with room for our bags as we were about to ride the train.
In town from commerce city for work, figured id try this place on my way out. Food came out surprisingly fast but was cold which is odd, omelet and hash browns were cold and a little bland, pancakes were good. All in all un-impressed, regreted not trying First Watch
