I wasn’t going to write a review, but as time goes on, I’ve had the opportunity to gain additional insights. Given the situation being near a city park with little parking, I understand the posted signs indicating parking is for patrons only. You have every right to tow whoever you please. However, the employee who came out to yell at parents picking up their children from a camp was extremely inappropriate. I had my young child on my hip. My attempt to ask this man if I could walk 20 yards to let camp staff know I would be late was met with “not my problem, you can’t park here!” He then proceeded to unload his frustrations with the overall parking situation due to his manager being on his case. My offer to share the contact information of the camp was met with the same tone and aggression along with “not my problem.” I went to my vehicle, buckled my child in his car seat and was approached again. I said I had nothing to say to this man and was in tears at this point. He continued to explain the issue. Ultimately he provided a brief apology for his behavior and suggested an alternative parking spot in the back, but made sure I knew he could have me towed. Pick up would have lasted less than 15 minutes without this exchange. All the kids at the camp just visited via bikes and everyone purchased ice cream. The way you treat women and children is a problem and it appears it extends to the management. As for the parking - I’ve seen the parking lot at a similar time of day (12:20pm) with an abundance of parking - almost every single week day. That observation makes his behavior even more inappropriate. We won’t be visiting anymore DQ locations. Train your employees to be better humans.
