  Overpriced groceries. I think they are price gouging tourist. I bought an $18 watermelon (about size of volleyball) Sugar Daddy - had no flavor! Sweet corn $1.38 an ear! Ridiculous! We spent $138 so fast on just a few things. Shame on corporate greed. We won't be back.

  This store has ridiculously long checkout lines. The self checkout line can wrap around to the back of the store at times, while only two cashiers are working at all the other registers. You can easily wait in line an hour while your frozen goods melt. They have little competition so I guess they think they will get your money regardless. Hire some employees!This signifies zero respect for customers, employees and the community.

  Great Safeway!! We stayed in the national park, and made multiple stops here. They had everything we needed. Of note, prices felt significantly higher than they were in Boulder. To be expected of course. I recommend making a Safeway account and getting gas from there.

  Waited for a long time at customer service counter for a return. Repeatedly asked for assistance from the man behind the counter who said he was not able to assist. Come to find out, the manager of the store has been standing in front of me and ignoring me. She smugly tells me she can’t take my returns. Very rude. I would expect more from the manager. Otherwise the store is lovely.

  I purchased groceries and realized I had accidentally purchased one extra box of Luigi’s Italian Ice and one extra package of Hillshire Farm Turkey and Ham. Three days later, I returned to the store with my receipt to return those unopened items. The employee who assisted me, Dalton, informed me that the store does not accept returns on anything that is “cold.” I was surprised by this because Safeway’s published return policy indicates that returns are accepted with a receipt, and I found nothing on my receipt or at the time of purchase stating that refrigerated or frozen items are final sale. I asked to speak with a manager, and Dalton informed me that he was the manager and that this was the store’s policy. If this is indeed the store’s policy, it should be clearly disclosed before or at the time of purchase. Customers should be informed that refrigerated and frozen items are considered final sale. As it stands, this policy is not clearly communicated, which I believe is misleading and does not adequately disclose the terms of the sale. Had I known these items could not be returned, I would have made my purchase differently.
