Friendly welcoming atmosphere and ambience. Service is attentive, nonobtrusive. Delicious creative menu selections from appetizers to desserts. Great advice on wine pairings. Perfect for special dinner for two or for a family dinner (our grandchildren have always loved going here!) Needless to say, best to have a reservation!

Went in on vacation with our family of 5 when it showed plenty of tables available online and the place basically looked empty - the male host said “oh without a reservation it will be several hours”. Basically they didn’t want kids I presume - despite having a kids menu. We went across the street to a place without the snobbery.

The food was outrageously expensive ($44 for falafel!!) and not good at all. My burger was way over cooked. Server kept trying to upsell us on everything.

So this was a weird experience. I’ll summarize: We went for the sushi rolls, fried chicken, and oysters. They were out of or no longer offered all of it. Bummer…but we can adapt. We ordered the crab cake app (it was perfect) and the scallops (also prefect). The cocktails were excellent, the apps were excellent, the Cesar salad tasted of egg yolk (foodies know what this means), and the entrees were, quite honestly: awful. I had the steak frites with parm fries, wife had the salmon. The salmon and indeed everything on her plate was not seasoned. And I don’t mean “under seasoned,” I mean “tasted like food with no seasoning, in a pool of half and half.” It was strange. And her salmon was wildly overcooked. My frites was fine (I think… I’ve never had it, but tasted like overcooked beef in barbecue sauce Since my first two dinner options weren’t available) And I didn’t get the fries I wanted, I got the two dollar up charge duck fat fries, which I did not eat. I don’t mind any of what happened with the entrées, except for when they are $60 apiece… You expect them to be perfect. Seems like the restaurant is spending too much time 1) making sure every course gets a fresh set of plates, silverware, and the following course doesn’t come out until it’s finished and 2) making sure all the entrées are delivered by anywhere from 2 to 8 different people depending on the top size at the same time (appreciate the illusion of grandeur), and not nearly enough time on the actual centerpiece… Which is the food. We have delayed going here for many years on the off chance that was going to be a poor experience, given the price point. And unfortunately, as most of us who have worked in the food industry know… You have one shot. They missed their shot. At $260 pre-tip for a two top…I should not leave anything less than “pleased.” Note: Good job to the server: he did great, knew we were going alternative choices, knew the food didn’t work out, and still got 30% (not your fault, my guy). Appreciate you. We won’t be back.

I was really excited to try this place but disappointed. The crab cakes taste like they are made with canned crab and taste fishy. The lobster was ok but $45 for a lobster tail. I thought I’d get a whole lobster for $45 . The burger was overcooked I got well done and the bun was tough and cold like biting a hockey puck . I had two drinks which were good but for $18 a drink. The margarita was good. The lemon drop martini was warm I’m not sure if that’s on purpose? However the deserts were very good I liked the crème brûlée and the chocolate pistachio alaska. Overall the presentation was good , the service was ok. But I felt as other guests arrived our service tanked. I really wanted to enjoy this dinner so I didn’t complain. The waitress should’ve noticed that we didn’t touch the food except for a bite. And they boxed it up for us which was nice but forgot to include the sauce I wanted on the side no biggie. But for $400 plus 22 % tip I’d expect way better. The rooftop was nice . it’s a shame there’s no window to see the train pass by .
