If you’re in Denver, GO TO SOUL & WOK. And yes, I would literally FLY BACK TO DENVER FROM TEXAS just to eat this food again. 😂✈️
Soul & Wok, located inside Peach & Jack, completely caught me off guard. The atmosphere is young, vibrant, and very much a bar vibe—so I honestly wasn’t expecting gourmet-level food to come out of this little spot.
I ordered the lamb with fried rice and the drunken deviled eggs, and let me tell y’all…
🔥 THE LAMB: Tender, juicy, flavorful, and absolutely NONE of that gamey lamb taste. The seasoning was perfect—honestly, above par with some five-star restaurants I’ve eaten at. The fried rice was fluffy, moist, flavorful, and NOT oily. Even better, it complemented the lamb without overpowering it.
🥚 THE DRUNKEN DEVILED EGGS: THE STAR OF THE SHOW. 🤤
And these were just the appetizer!
I ordered TWO orders because one was simply not enough. They were sweet, savory, umami, salty, spicy—literally ALL THE THINGS happening in one bite. This is hands down the best deviled egg fusion I’ve ever had. I was not prepared for how good these were.
And Chef Le Bama? Extremely personable and genuinely grateful. He made a point to interact with the people ordering, checked on the food, and was attentive throughout the experience. You can tell he cares about what he’s putting out.
Soul & Wok is one of those places where you go in expecting one thing and leave thinking, “Wait…WHY don’t more people know about this place?!”
I came to Denver from Texas. I would absolutely fly back to Denver just to eat this food again.
Chef Le Bama, you did your BIG ONE. 👏🏾🔥
