I wish I could give more stars, but a month ago I bought 3 single serve plait yogurts that were on super sale.
I opened one as soon as I got home, and it was splotchy with mild on the inside. Opened the second one, same issue. Excessively and alarmingly moldy, from the top to the bottom. Opened the third, it looked okay, so I froze it as a dessert for later. A couple hours later I took a bite, and immediately sit it out. It was covered in mold, and an absolutely filthy experience that’s gonna scar me for a few decades. Sadly, I’ve lost all trust in Safeway after that incident. Someone on their team is clearly not paying attention, or is blatantly violating food safety standards…and that’s crazy dangerous

The prices at this grocery store are fantastic, and I love the wide variety of products available. However, it can get pretty crowded during peak hours, which makes shopping a bit hectic at times. Overall, a solid option for budget-friendly shopping.
This Safeway is the best in Denver. The pharmacy is the WORST.
Dear manager of this store: I hope you follow-up on my complaint because I won't set foot in your store again.
This is the worst pharmacy in Denver. I've filled scripts here for years. It's not always easy, but tonight was really a bummer. I solved the problem by going to the Walgreens Pharmacy, located at 1111 S Colorado Blvd Walgreens, Denver, CO 80246. That Walgreens Pharmacy is once again are open until 10 PM weeknights.
Walgreens was once THE WORST pharmacy chain everywhere, so that's saying something. Walgreens staff could not have been nicer. They took 10 minutes to fill 2 scripts.
My husband was bit by our family dog a week ago. We went to the ER, where he was given the wrong antibiotic treatment. Our family doctor called us back after hours at 7:30 PM.
She electronically transmitted the same 2 scripts to this Safeway Pharmacy at that time.
I hoped that Safeway Pharmacy would help me out, because I didn't know of another pharmacy being open later and to avoid a time consuming and return trip to the ER for my husband.
When I got to the Pharmacy Tech she simply said,"Well, it's 7:45 and I need at least 30 minutes to fill his scripts."
That's it. No,"I'm so sorry..." or "Let's transfer that to the Walgreens on South CoBo." Nothing. No care for us at all.
When I asked if they could make an exception, the Pharmacist on duty said to me,"There's a whole line of people waiting for their prescriptions."
I didn't ask to get ahead of anyone else. I would have happily waited until everyone else in front of me had been served.
To the pharmacist and his staff: Why do you work in your field?
What would have happened if you stayed one night until 8:15 PM to solve one family's big problem?
To the management of this Safeway Pharmacy, I've filled scripts here for years. Unless you have lots and lots of time, there's a problem. There's a pharmacy tech who doesn't like talking to people (years ago) and answering their questions. There's a total lack of customer service and support, as evidenced by my experience tonight.
The Safeway Pharmacy on South Broadway also doesn't have good reviews, yet they just get it done for their customers. Maybe time for a new manager?
I've had it Safeway Pharmacy. Maybe it's because you're now run by a zealous lot of right wingers from Boise, Idaho. I just don't care anymore what your excuses are. Thank God, your merger wasn't approved.
I enjoy this store very much. Tamara, Frankie, Sam, and the entire staff are always welcoming, helpful and kind. I apologize for not knowing the name of everyone who has been kind to me at the store. Even after I, accidentally, broke a jar of capers, they still let me come back. I find that the store is well stocked and clean with ample parking.

The neighborhood calls this grocery the Soviet Safeway because it’s guaranteed that what ever is on your list they will not have one of the items. We don’t understand why shopping baskets are never available at the entrance. Seems like laziness on the employees as we have to walk to the check out to get a basket to shop. Overall it’s a struggle to shop and with 4 other groceries within 10 minutes, this one is on the bottom of the list.
