Concerned that there could be a batch problem I took pics and followed directions at the Breyers website to voice my concern. They agreed there was a problem and sent me a letter and coupon for a free replacement. Today I visited the Safeway store in Federal Heights where I have shopped for over 20 years. The clerk entered the coupon and said I owed 22 cents tax. I said that when I originally bought the ice cream I paid the tax and asked why I had to pay again. I was told it was the rules. Another person, Miranda, was called over and she confirmed that I needed to pay taxes. I replied that I had gone to Vitamin Cottage with a free food coupon just the other day and wasnt required to pay tax. She said different stores might have different rules. At the end she said in an annoyed tone "you know what? Just take it.". I was astounded. I said I was a loyal customer of that store and that I wasn't trying to get something for free. I was polite but firm during the interaction and never raised my voice. I am very unhappy as I have always been nice and helpful at your store and until today always been treated the same. I am happy to listen if you can give me a good reason why I had to pay tax on a product I had already paid for. I really thought I was doing the right thing by contacting Breyers.

Wow, the pharmacy staff treat you so poorly; it seems like it bothers them if you ask anything.
