Maybe do a poll of how they shop for what it's to ensure the valuables, fragile and perishables stay packed on top. The prices are great with their membership.
- WKWes KruseJul 13, 20262.0I have shopped at this Safeway for over a dozen years, and it's slowly gone downhill. None of these are major issues, but it's a death by a thousand cuts. Here's why: (not all are something the store can change, but Safeway corp needs to address) 1) South entryway is locked after 6pm. It's where I tend to park, but no biggie. So I use the main doors and shop less. 2) Many higher priced items are now behind locked shelves. It's a hassle to find someone to help when they are usually understaffed, so... I don't buy those things there. 3) Small carts are locked up after 5 or 6pm everyday. So, rather than push a big cart I just use a small hand basket, no big deal. I just buy less than I might have. 4) There is rarely more than one full-service lane open, just the quick self service area. I shop less to make it easier, since I know that I will be doing everything- scanning, looking up fruit and vegetable codes, sacking, etc. No big deal. I just buy less. 5) Maybe it's the time of day I tend to shop, but there is never a butcher to help. It's all self serve. It might be nice to have a thick steak sometimes, but there are other places, local and with staff.
