I placed an online order and paid extra for tendon and tripe. When my order arrived, neither of the extra items I paid for was included. I submitted a support ticket through the “Get Support” button on their website, but never received a response. I then called the restaurant directly three times. The first two calls were incredibly frustrating because the phone kept disconnecting or hanging up when I was placed on hold. On the third call, I finally spoke with someone who told me they would bring the missing items to me within five minutes. I waited about an hour, but no one ever showed up. I called back and asked for a refund for the items I paid for but did not receive. I was told that the three tiny pieces of tendon in my Bun Bo Hue were the extra tendon I had ordered. I don’t believe that is accurate. I’ve ordered Bun Bo Hue from this restaurant before and it normally comes with a few pieces of tendon, which is exactly why I paid extra for more this time. There was also no tripe in the box at all. They told me they would refund me for the missing tripe, but after everything I’ve experienced, I’m not confident that I’ll actually receive the refund. Mistakes happen, but what really disappointed me was the lack of communication and the amount of effort I had to put in just to try to resolve a relatively simple issue. Between the unanswered support ticket, multiple disconnected phone calls, waiting an hour for items that never arrived, and then having to argue about what I actually received, the entire experience was extremely frustrating.

I ordered the shrimp spring rolls, and sadly it had no mint, no carrots, no cilantro and only lettuce. Pretty bland in my opinion. I also ordered the number 10B grilled shrimp vermicelli bowl. The waiter brought it out it and it was only noodles, shrimp, scallions, and fish sauce. The menu states it comes with cucumbers, carrots, bean, sprouts and cilantro and peanuts, and green scallions. I asked him where the rest of vegetables were and he turned around and took the plate back to the kitchen. 😏 I was pretty shocked when he brought a plate of beans sprouts, and basil with slices of limes and jalapeños prior to placing my order which I had already nibbled on some of the bean sprouts and the took it away from the table to the kitchen. I believe that’s called cross-contamination and it’s Highly unsanitary!! This is how people get sick! Pay attention to your servers! One day the health department may cone in and surprise your establishment.

I love pho in general and have been to many great pho restaurants, along with a few that weren’t as impressive. Because Pho Duy is so well known in Denver, I had high expectations. The pho itself was flavorful and enjoyable. However, I was a little disappointed when I ordered an extra side of rare beef. The beef was served frozen, and when I added it to my bowl, it cooled the broth down significantly. I had to let the meat sit in the soup much longer than expected so it could cook to a rare texture. Overall, I still thought the pho was really good, but serving frozen beef on the side took away from what could have been an even better dining experience.
