  Amazing pho and the staff was amazing! Alex was super friendly and definitely went above and beyond! Will be back. You also just try the boba. They have huge portions of pho!

  Phở Duy has long had a reputation among members of the local Vietnamese community for having some of the worst customer service in the Denver area. Unfortunately, based on my personal experiences, I can understand why. I’ve visited this restaurant several times over the years, usually once every year or two, and the experience has been consistently disappointing. Whether it’s new employees or longtime staff, the attitude seems to be the same: arrogant, unfriendly, rude, and unprofessional. It almost feels as though customers are inconveniencing the staff simply by walking through the door. The pho itself is nothing special. It’s average at best, and with so many other Vietnamese restaurants in the Denver area, I honestly don’t see any reason to put up with such unpleasant service just to have a bowl of pho. What I find particularly frustrating is that poor customer service doesn’t seem to be an occasional issue here. It’s a recurring problem, and many other reviews describe similar experiences. I genuinely don’t understand why management has allowed this kind of service culture to continue for so many years. To make matters worse, they now charge an additional 3% when customers pay with a credit card. I understand that businesses may choose to pass along credit card processing fees, but as a customer, I find this practice frustrating, especially when the overall dining experience is already so disappointing. And then there’s the tipping culture. When a restaurant provides such poor service while customers are still expected to leave a tip, it makes the entire experience even more unpleasant. In my opinion, tips should be earned through good service, not treated as an automatic entitlement. Good food might bring customers through the door, but good service is what brings them back. Unfortunately, Phở Duy seems to have completely overlooked that principle. After giving this restaurant multiple chances over the years, I’ve finally decided that I will never return. There are simply too many other Vietnamese restaurants in Denver where customers can enjoy a decent bowl of pho without being treated so poorly. This restaurant has lost my business permanently, and I cannot recommend it.

  The soup and the noodles are spoiled. In short, they have an odd taste. I don't recommend them!

  Apparently, $40 now buys you a bowl of cơm đặc biệt, a spring roll, and a front-row seat to the restaurant’s cleaning routine. The meat was chewy, the rice was cold, and the beef had such a strange odor and taste that I spent more time wondering what had happened to it than actually enjoying the meal. The spring roll wasn’t much better. But the atmosphere really completed the experience. While I was eating, employees were mopping around the dining area with dirty-smelling mops, rolling a cart full of used dishes into the middle of the room, and then sweeping up dust nearby. Nothing enhances a meal quite like cold rice, questionable beef, mop water, dirty dishes, and airborne dust. The restaurant was practically empty, so I suppose everyone needed something to do. Unfortunately, making sure the food was hot and tasted good apparently wasn’t on the list. When I told the owner how disappointing the meal was, there seemed to be very little concern about the food or my experience. The priority appeared to be collecting the $40 and moving on. I hadn’t been to Pho Duy in about six months, and halfway through this meal I suddenly remembered why. After going here on and off for many years, this visit finally settled it for me. Maybe when you’re located near Federal Boulevard and have a steady stream of customers, you can convince yourself that food quality and customer service are optional extras. For me, they’re not. $40 later, lesson relearned. I definitely won’t be back.

  The bun bo hue is legit. Probably one of the best ones I had. Tender hammock. Blood pudding is jiggly. Deep soup flavors. Lots of side veggies and herbs. 10/10 Bun rieu is a rare item on most menus ... And I wished they left it off. Toppings were good, but lacked the crab/ rieu flavors. This is my favorite noodle soup, so it was highly disappointing. If you're not familiar with the flavors, it's still good. 5/10
