Ate dinner with friends while we were visiting Denver for the weekend, and had an incredible meal. We allowed our server to pick all 8 of our dishes and were thrilled with the unique flavors and combinations of everything we ate. Great cocktail menu as well.

First of all it was about 83 degrees in the dining room which made it stifling hot and difficult to relax and enjoy our food and drink. Hence the one star for atmosphere. It was stifling! And what’s worse it was a 99 day in Denver so no cooler going outside. Food was meh and definitely not worth $750 for 6 of us. I had the lamb and it was flavorless. Came on a skewer (surprise!) and had as many mushrooms as meat! (4 meager pieces). The rest of my party was just as underwhelmed by the food. The one high point were the Hawaiian rolls and herb butter. And I put a note in the reservation that it was a going away occasion and they brought us little glasses of bubbly after the meal for a toast. Nice touch but didn’t offset the disappointing food. Would not recommend and will certainly not go back!

Getting to this after a month but had to leave a review because i had a splendid experience. Went there for my partner’s birthday last month when we were in Denver. The food was splendid and our server was lovely. There were some timing issues with when the food came out but honestly wasn’t a huge deal specially since everything tasted spectacular.

Absolutely fabulous dinner! The atmosphere at Mercantile is phenomenal, especially with it being attached to Denver's historic Union Station. The staff was excellent and the service was amazing from start to finish. The food was incredible—I had the lamb gnocchi and a broccolini dish, both of which were perfectly prepared. To top it off, the chocolate-covered peanut butter ball for dessert was out of this world. Highly recommend for any occasion!

Ho-lee-WOW. Burrata - I will judge you if you don't order this masterpiece. Carmellos are actually shaped like carmels - WHAT?! Scallops, Puri Puri chicken, Porchetta, Lamb Gnocchi, Tuna Tartar with Foie Gras, Espresso Affogato, Churro bread thing - immaculate taste (flavor?) and presentation.
All the cocktails were SO GOOD (there were 4 of us who tried not to order the same things): the old fashioned, hibiscus, chamomile, margarita, and more...
Andrew, our server - KNOWS HIS STUFF. Impressive is an understatement with his knowledge, his explanations, and his professionalism in F&B.
The sous chef from New Jersey said hello as we raved about everything and took time to answer our Qs. I'm sad I cant recall his name, but the food and our entire experience was incredible. Thank you!
