  Excellent dining experience all around. Fine food and drink with perfect service. Of particular note were the “Snap Pea & Burrata” and the “Spring Bulgar and Fava Bean”. Never had anything like them! The glass Blanc de Blanc at the sitting was nice touch.

  We sat at the bar today with Nikki as our bartender for lunch. She was a great bartender and super nice! The Chamomile cocktail was perfect and I loved the salmon grain bowl too :)

  We were directed to this establishment as our room was not ready.The receptionist pointed to a sign that stated that a complimentary happy hour food and a drink were available. We seated ourselves at the bar and asked about the offer. The bartender stated that it was only available at 4pm and it was sent to the hotel lobby. She enquired in the kitchen and stated that they could not do it. My wife went back to the hotel to get a photo of the sign. A few moments later a chef stormed past her and demanded angrily to the receptionist about the 3pm start. He than stormed back after shouting at the receptionist to the amazement of guests checking in. Just shocking behavior and one wonders how they were awarded a michelin star. The manager tried to rectify things but my wife was to upset and we left. A bit later a complimentary platter was sent to our room from another restaurant compliments of the Crawford hotel. Perhaps the Mercantile can learn a thing or two about service or how to recover, from the Crawford hotel .Sadly don't think we will ever find out.

  Unfortunately I did not have a good experience at this restaurant. Several items that are listed on the menu as vegetarian, are not. They were also sold out of 3-4 dishes by the time of our 7.45 pm reservation which limited our options on an already smaller menu. Food took 30 minutes to come out. Staff, however, were very kind and hardworking. Thank you.

  This is one of those places where you can tell everything is intentional from the ingredients to the plating. The food was excellent, especially the seasonal items, and you can really taste the quality. Service was professional and knowledgeable, though it felt a bit formal at times. It’s not cheap, but if you’re celebrating something or want a refined dining experience, this is a solid choice. Not an everyday spot, but great when you want to treat yourself.
