From the moment we walked in, everything was great!
Seating: Before arriving, I was frustrated that I couldn't get an OpenTable reservation for 2 people. I tried calling and the system hung up. When we arrived, we were greeted and seated promptly!
Service: Wow! Amazing service. We got drinks and lots of them. We asked for the Chicago tavern pizza to come out first and the deep dish to come out second due to the cooking times.
Food: They may say that it feeds 1-2 people, but there is so much food. It's kinda amazing. I've been researching pizza places in Chicago and 3 of my friends said Giordano's. We're going to have 1-3 shots at getting pizza while there, so we have to do this correctly! The crust was delicious and flaky. The deep dish was cheesy and cheesy.
Atmosphere: It was busy, the garage door wall was open, and we could hear each other across the table! What a wonderful time!
At the end, we sat around and goofed off. They boxed our pizza for us and we had an amazing time.

This review is hard for me to post because normally when I don't have a great experience somewhere, I just don't post at all, so as to not negatively affect someone's business... unfortunately my experience was so terrible here, I feel inclined to share so that hopefully the business trains their staff better and learns from it. The manager/shift lead on duty did not follow-up, so I am posting here.
Several things went wrong that on their own, would have been fine to deal with, but all together it was terrible.
Our group of 5 ordered a 14" deep dish pizza & one beef sandwich (no cheese/dairy due to intolerance).
The food runner brought out a 10" pizza after about a 45 minute wait from time of ordering . We were here for about an hour at this time, from being seated & getting drinks.
We told them we ordered a 14" deep dish to share. The manager came to the table and offered to get our correct order started, however as it would be a 14" deep dish it would be a long wait (likely at minimum another 45 mins). The 4 people who were sharing the pizza said they would be okay with just a flat crust pizza to save time (they had time constraints due to needing to make it to the airport). The manager said we could keep the 10" deep dish while waiting for the 14" flat crust pizza (again, not what was ordered, but we were hungry & now had time constraints because of how long it was taking).
When the 10" pizza was brought back to the table, I told the food runner I was still waiting for the beef sandwich. She said she would be right back with it. She never came back with a sandwich and did not come back to the table to tell me the sandwich was on the way or otherwise. The waiter came to the table while the 4 were eating the 10" pizza (about 10 minutes after it was dropped at the table) and said there was an issue with ringing in the order/technology, but did not take accountability for putting in the wrong item. I asked him about the beef sandwich, and he said it should be on the way and that the kitchen was slow because there was a new person.
The 14" flat crust pizza was delivered to the table, and still no beef sandwich.
The waiter came back to the table eventually, I asked for the beef sandwich again and he said it should be coming.
At this point, it had been probably an hour & a half that we had been there.
I did not have anything to eat because I have a dairy intolerance and the others felt bad having to eat without me (because it had been an hour and a half and they had to leave).
One of the guests had to go find someone to ask for the check & boxes & to just get the beef sandwich to go. They brought boxes, and never the beef sandwich.
They charged our card without offering to see the itemized bill, until the payer requested it. He found that they had charged us $140, which was someone else's bill. If he didn't ask, he would have just overly paid for the worst service and mediocre food. When they "fixed" the charge and had him pay the correct amount, the server said they just took the sandwich off the bill because they never made it.
The server never came to the table to tell me, the person that ordered the sandwich, that it wasn't made & wasn't going to be made.
In total, we were there for about 2 hours. It was the worst service I have ever had. I worked as a server for 8 years, so I am especially forgiving and understanding, but this was actually terrible on every level. The server, the food runner, even the manager dropped the ball. If the manager bothered to follow-up at our table after the replacement pizza arrived, to see if it was okay, or at any point after, we could've expressed these things and maybe it would've been amended. Instead I sat there for 2 hours with just a drink while my group ate mediocre and overpriced pizza. If we were not as easy-going as we are, we could've and probably should've asked that our entire bill be comped. But we paid for the 14" pizza & the drinks.
I cannot NOT recommend going here enough. Save your time & money for somewhere else. I had to go buy food elsewhere anyways.
