We had a group of 18 on a holiday weekend and they assigned 2 amazing waiters to our needs-- fantastic service, food was correct to each persons order, steaks were phenomenal, shrimp was tender and the sauce for Urban Cowboy style sssooooooo good! We are locals but all our guests were from out of town and you guys made us proud. Thank you!

Two stars only because the drinks were ok- good. Let me start with « we understand that every person has their bad days and that mistakes happen, but the constellation of negative experiences here make it impossible to attribute them all to bad luck » Service was awful. Starting from when we asked for a few more minutes to peruse the menu and she kept standing there. My drink order was never placed. The other party’s drink was very slow to come out. I was already half my meal when my drink was finally delivered. The food order was wrong. Imagine my face of horror when I received brocoli instead of sweet potato fries. The queso was velveeta cheese. The brisket appetizer was beef jerky. We never were given silverware. Had to go steal it from another table. The steak was overcooked. Our waitress disappeared after taking our order. Never asked if we needed anything else. Really ketchup and steak sauce, nothing complicated. And all that in the context of the slowest service known to my 30 years of dining and a hefty bill. In my opinion don’t waste your money and calories.

Upon Arrival Our Drink order was Taken, Then a Differ waiter come up to take it again? Not sure what that was about. Lol We Were both Confused! Food Was Great and Cooked Perfect! Taste Was Great! Atmosphere is Great, But I guess We Went on a Weird day because All Workers were just Right there by Us all Huddled up Gossiping, Staring, And One Specific stood just a couple feet away literally Starring at me! No idea Why. Maybe In a Zone but It was Uncomfortable to say the Least! We Did go at the Perfect time though, Right before a Bunch Of people Started coming in. Besides the Uncomfortable Feel of Staff, All Else Was Great!

Wife and I Went there June 21st for Father’s Day special prime rib, we both ordered a Bloody Mary and waters, salads and prime rib loaded baked potatoes, they had no bread, never got Bloody Marys or salad. Waitress brought out prime rib and potato both cold, asked to be taken back and get salads, she just put the steak and potatoes down, we said just forget salads. Our original waitress came out and said she was sorry about the salads, if there was anything else we needed, I said yes To go boxes to take home and heat up, and Bloody Marys and a check, waited another 15 minutes just walked out steak and potatoes on the table. We had two bad experiences here before this but thought we could give it another chance, I can’t give zero stars but we won’t be back.

I ordered two 6oz filets cooked medium. What arrived looked less like filets and more like two sirloins that had wandered onto the wrong plate. One was cooked rare. To the server's credit, he agreed the steaks didn't look like filets, although he admitted he wasn't exactly a steak expert. Fair enough—apparently nobody in the building was. Then came the wait. Thirty minutes later, Round 2 finally arrived. These appeared suspiciously similar to the first steaks, except they looked like they'd been rolled through a gravel parking lot before being tossed back onto a dirty broiler. They were served room temperature and topped with a generous scoop of butter that hadn't even considered melting. It was less "steakhouse" and more "cafeteria food that's seen some things." At this point, the manager stopped by and agreed the steaks didn't look right. He assured us there were six cooks and two shift leads working, so they should be able to handle it. This statement would become the funniest thing I heard all night. For Round 3, I lowered my expectations and simply asked for a sirloin. The manager promised he'd personally oversee everything. The replacement arrived with an acceptable sirloin and a filet that was completely raw. Not rare. Raw. The good news? It finally looked like an actual filet. We were making progress, just not in the direction of edible food. Round 4 involved taking the raw filet back to the kitchen. It returned cooked on one side and barely touched on the other, as if the grill had only committed to half the job. By the end of the evening, I had been served six steaks to successfully produce one acceptable sirloin. I've never experienced a restaurant so determined to turn a simple steak order into a multi-act theatrical production. We had anticipation, disappointment, false hope, managerial promises, plot twists, and a finale nobody asked for. Six steaks. One edible dinner. Nearly impossible odds, yet somehow Saltgrass found a way. Don't waste your time. If you're craving steak, your chances are probably better almost anywhere else.
