The food I received wasn't my order 😕. It appears there is not enough staff to maintain great customer service 😑. (Cooks, wait staff and bar tender)

Awesome steakhouse! The raspberry and strawberry lemonade were particularly refreshing, the delicious jalapeño-shrimp popper side came with bonus onion fries, and the brisket burger nearly put us in a coma (in the best way possible)! 10/10, will be my choice of venue next time I'm down here!
The food was very good, the server was good as well - but the kitchen took far too long to prepare the food. It took over an hour to get the main courses out (one burger and one steak); so slow that my brother canceled his order and left...

This was my second visit to give this establishment a chance to redeem themselves. On the first visit a week prior, it took an hour to get the food to the table. I ended up taking a few bites then left. This evening I ordered the fried mushrooms for an appetizer, and country fried steak and fries for my meal. The mushrooms were cold and soggy in the center and when my meal arrived, the country fried steak was cold and fries were room temp and grease laden. Very other steak house I have been to, a manager would walk the floor and do quality control checks and spoke with the customers…not here at Salt Grass!
We stopped at Saltgrass Steak House while staying in Cripple Creek and were seated in the bar during a very busy dinner rush. Our bartender provided excellent, quick service and did her best despite the restaurant clearly struggling to keep pace.
I ordered the New York strip medium rare. It came out questionably fast and was extremely rare—barely cooked inside. I can normally handle a steak on the rare side, but I could not finish this one. My wife’s ribeye was cooked reasonably well, although it was also a very thin cut.
We also ordered sautéed mushrooms and grilled onions, but they were never brought to the table.
One interaction was especially disappointing. A male server walking by dropped a stack of napkins, noticed them, looked back, and simply continued walking despite having nothing in his hands. It was a small incident, but watching someone knowingly leave a mess behind gave a poor impression of his professionalism and willingness to take ownership. He did not carry himself like an experienced server.
The bartender deserves credit because her service was very good. Unfortunately, the undercooked steak, missing sides, and overall disorganization made the dinner disappointing.
We gave the restaurant another chance for breakfast the following morning because we had forgotten to use the dining certificate provided with our Golden Nugget hotel stay the night before.
