We went here for dinner after moving my son up to CU, so of course it was a busy time. Luckily we arrived right before the rush. I had the chicken Pad Nam Prik Paow spice level 3 and my son had the beef drunken noodles spice level 4. My dish was ok, not very spicy and enough to leave me no longer hungry but not stuffed or with leftovers (that was kinda disappointing). I liked my son's meal better, drunken noodles are my favorite, but I wanted to try something different. His spice level was more my preference as well, but again the serving size was on the smaller end and probably not enough for a teenage boy - I'm sure he'll be eating again tonight. After they got busy, it took awhile before we received our check but once we did, she came with the payment machine so it was fast. Prices were average and so was the service, overall not bad but nothing great either. I'd go again to try different items on the menu, but maybe after I try the other Thai restaurants in the area first.

Comforting food, calm atmosphere and really nice wait staff. They also have an entirely separate gluten-free menu and are very careful about allergies. My husband is celiac and has never had any issues here.
From the moment we walked through the door and received such a warm welcome, to the moment we left, we were absolutely delighted! Our server was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better.
The fried rice and curry came out incredibly fast, and both were a 10/10—absolutely delicious! Our server checked on us just the right amount without ever being intrusive.
If you’re in Boulder and craving Thai food, definitely stop at Horm a Rice! You won’t be disappointed.
In general it was fine. We got green curry, drunken noodles and pad thai. Noodles were dry, and green curry tastes like the grocery store mix. It was very standard American Thai food, and just not comparable to the best Boulder has to offer (busaba imo), which is itself not comparable to the best Thai in a larger city. It’s just not reasonable to call this 5* (even if the owners and servers are nice people!).
I’ve been here twice now and have not been disappointed! The portion sizes are generous and the food is super easy and also Thai flavor/seasoning. I got the chicken pineapple fried rice and one of my friends got a tofu curry and the other got a chicken pad Thai and all of them weredelicious place! The service was great with the employees being really friendly and kind.
