Decent restaurant! Food was alright. Birria tacos come deconstructed so be prepared for that! Green chili burger was awesome.
I will say I was pretty disappointed with the service. We were denied any happy hour items on a Monday even though the website says it’s happy hour all day. I even took a picture of the sign in the bathroom claiming it’s happy hour every Monday, day and night. The server immediately said “Sorry we are not doing happy hour so I can’t get you that drink”.
He was subpar and did not seem like he enjoyed being there whatsoever. Just a note for management I guess.
Other than that, the experience was pretty mediocre! Expensive for the quality.

Stopped by on Saturday graduation weekend. The host/manager sat us at the bar at 9:55pm saying "We're no longer taking tables because we're about to close, but you should get a drink at the bar!" We asked if she was sure it was ok, and she reassured us.
We sat at the bar, the bartender with red hair and glasses ignored us for 20 minutes, and then was rude to us about coming in at closing. We told him that we were sorry, and that the manager encouraged us to get a drink, and that we could leave.
The restaurant was still full, and he was serving other new people drinks at the bar, no questions asked. Weird and rude experience. (and the last time I was here in 2023, the server was rude because we came in at 7pm on a slow night and they wanted to close early).
I would've gladly gone over to bartaco next door and not been sat at the bar if I knew that the bartender didn't want us there. I understand it's a busy weekend. I wish the manager at the host stand didn't encourage us to sit down for a drink.
Great margaritas, but as many other reviews mention, they need to talk to the bartender and servers about treating customers with kindness!

Unfortunately there's not a way to put in "zero" for service. Our waitress was completely MIA after taking our order. We had to ask another waiter for our order status. More delays. The way the manager and her staff handled the situation was absolutely appalling. After serving our dinner 90 minutes after the order, the manager announced the patio was closing and we needed to leave and she was going to call the police if we didn't leave. The childish immaturity of the manager and her staff was laughable - literally. Dear owner of Centro - please give your staff more training on diplomacy and how to handle customers. Or - hire more mature and adult staff. By the way, on our way out, another Centro employee told us - admitted - how poorly we were treated by the manager and her staff. Bingo.

The young management completely misunderstood the situation and after keeping us waiting 1 hour and 10 minutes for our order, they served the food, and within 2 minutes of serving the food, they announced that it was on the house and they asked us to leave the restaurant because they had to close the patio. The crew was terribly inexperienced. They got defensive because we went to the bar and complained about the terrible delay. Never a place like Centro should be in the hands of children to deal with patrons who have been customers for over 2 decades.

My cousin and I went here Friday night. I just moved to the area recently. So over a course of two hours, my cousin and I had 3 drinks. Well eating appetizers and food. We are also both 250 plus pounds. The entire time we're there there was quite a few intoxicated people in the restaurant. Even to the point where there is a random young woman who sat down an interrupted our conversation who is so drunk she could barely put a sentence together. I'm confused on how people were being served to this level of intoxication however two large males over 250 lb who wasn't even buzzed was cut off after the amount of drinks that we had. When the bartenders cut us off they' very vague as to why they were cutting us off to the point where they were getting very sarcastic and rude. We were nothing but polite. We were not belligerent. Not only were we cut off but we also felt that we were being insinuated and felt very unwelcome after this. Not only were we going to order one or two more drinks but we're also going to order more appetizers.
I have to say I am not impressed with the attitude of these bartenders and this is not a place that I will be returning.
Response to your reply.
I do thank you for the response. Thank you for the offer for the free round of drinks. Me however personally I'm going to say no thank you. Again my cousin and I were not even buzzed. He even asked the reasoning for us being cut off and she couldn't give us a fair answer. Based off what you're telling me, we were cut off based on other people's behavior. That's not something that I agree with. Another thing to add is the both of us established that I was not the one driving that night. She's still even refused to give me another drink even though I had already admitted I wasn't driving. As well as we weren't showing signs of intoxication. The only thing I'm hard of hearing and I do speak loud but it was also very loud that night so that could been the only thing she could have pointed to me but I also can't help if I'm partially deaf. So again there was no real reason for us to be cut off. To be punished for other people's behavior is wild.
So I do respect your restaurants policies and your decisions you have that right to make those decisions within your business. However if that's how you want to behave and treat people there are many other Mexican restaurants with great food, great people and great drinks.
Thank you!
