  My husband and I dined here last night despite reading many negative reviews. We had not eaten here for several years because we live in Florida. My grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries was hot and delicious. My husband ordered chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. It was such a huge portion that he could not even finish at all. The only thing that I would say was a negative was that there was no chicken entrée on the menu which I did suggest to the manager. Our server was an attentive and prompt and made good suggestions to us. We would definitely eat there again the next time we are in Black Hawk.

  convenient since we stayed at Ameristar. very disappointed with the food quality. the buffalo chicken mac and cheese was like soupy velveeta shells and a small center clump of processed chicken. bland. my son had a burger… mediocre.

  This place is worlds apart from the steakhouse right beneath it on the first floor. Great service, quality food for the price, and excellent/quick service with a smile.

  Terrible food. Rancid oil used for the fries. Shrimp cocktail sause is nasty and the shrimp is old and dry. The atmosphere is very depressing and the staff pretend to care in a very fake way.

  This place had some really bad reviews, so was hesitant to try it. Looks like most of the bad reviews were for the afternoon evening. So decided to give it a shot for breakfast. Got The hangover Skillet extra gravy, over easy eggs with a pancake on the side. Food came out fast and it was hot and fresh (besides the potatoes) Pancake had really good flavor. It's a bit chewy but it was yummy. Breakfast skillet looked really yummy. I got it with extra sausage gravy. Sadly, despite the fact that it was doused in green chili and sausage gravy, the breakfast potatoes were hard and chewy. Really ruined the experience. Seemed like the potatos where sitting for a long time. The rest of it was yummy though, but because potatoes where like 70% of the meal it did ruin it. Overall service was good. Had no issues there.
