  Brought the wife and son here for lunch. The sizzling skillets tasted fantastic along with appetizers of the five spice popcorn chicken and shrimp tempura. We did come during a busy lunch time so service was just ok. Not going to fault them for that. Overall, a great place to grab a bite to eat as they offer a variety of options between ramen, hot pot, and rice plates. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

  I’ve came here twice, one right when they opened and once recently and to be honest it’s extremely overrated. I don’t know how this place has 4.8 stars but based on my experience the food definitely isn’t anything special. Actual hotpot is better than this because the flame kept dying out and it was extremely annoying to keep changing it. The staff was helpful though, so i will give them that. But i got the Thai seafood one if I remember correctly and the crab was dead. Absolutely disgusting texture meaning their crab wasn’t fresh at all. My mom ordered vermicelli but since you can’t control the temperature the noodles became all soggy. I’ve only tried the hot pots though so im not sure about the other items on the menu

  Ordered for pick up. 2 appetizers and 2 entrees for 2 people. Very fast service. Not so busy. Order was ready to be picked up when I arrived 2 mins after estimated ready time. The food was great! Great flavors. Everything tasted better than average compared to other restaurants I've tried for lo mein. We ordered the shrimp tempura and the popcorn chicken as apps. Popcorn chicken was nothing out of the ordinary. Not much flavor, very similar to fried chicken. Shrim tempura managed to stay crispy when I got home 12 mins away. Pretty good flavor as well, nothing to "wow". Dipping sauces were low - only really got to dip both apps in the spicy sauce a few times before it was out. Chicken friend rice was great. Better than I've tried locally. Shrimp lo mein tasted amazing. The noodle was closer to the spaghetting noodle texture but tue flavor made up for. Quite a number of shrimp too - they don't skimp on that. Not overly greasy either. The portions you can definitely split into two or have leftovers like us. I will say the price compared to the amount of food seemed a little off. Compared to the picture, I wouldn't have guessed that would've cost $75. But it did. Pricing somewhat stinks. We were given a $10 off on next visit too! Great stuff overall! Would try again when craving chinese food.

  I've been to the Aurora Tasty Pot a few times now, and it's been consistently good every visit. I like that everyone gets their own personal hot pot, so you can customize it exactly how you want. The broth has a lot of flavor, the ingredients always taste fresh, and the portions are filling without feeling overpriced. The staff has always been friendly and quick to check in, even when the restaurant is busy. The place is also clean, and the food comes out pretty fast. If you're craving hot pot but don't want the hassle of sharing one big pot, this is definitely a spot worth checking out. I'll definitely be back.They even offer sizzling skillets like the lemongrass bbq beef rib sizzling. Definitely worth the hype and cheap huge portion Chinese food they offer I highly recommend. Their boba is also on point. The owner be cheffing up some top quality flavors.

  Update email has been sent. Very disappointed with the food and service I received both times I have came to this establishment. The first time was for my daughters birthday she was so excited but we left disappointed when her food arrived there was a bleach blonde hair from our server and all they said was oops sorry do u want it remade that shouldn't even be a question that should be an automatic issue and should obviously be remade. It was remade but nothing more almost like we were the problem for not wanting to eat her hair. Shes hungry not like we went there on a full stomach but she had to wait and how sad is it to have to watch your child wait while the whole table has their food. The second time I wasnt there absolutely refused to go there again it was my sister her husband my mom my daughter and her kids. My sister her aunt saw the short black hair probably from the cook standing straight up instead of remaking her food completely they served it to her with the meat that the hair was on taken out. Once again they asked if they wanted her to have a new bowl shes already starving so she refused and my sisters husband asked for her meal to be taken off and it wasnt and ive been calling but they dont answer or the manager isnt in absolutely nothing was done and so beyond disgusted and disappointed with the customer service.
