This used to be my absolute favorite sushi place, but I don’t know if there is a different owner or what but it is like a different restaurant. The service is absolutely horrible, and the worst part of the terrible service… the server was the owner. My son loves tofu so I always ask for extra in the miso soup, she gives three tiny cubes of tofu, and when I asked for more she said that tofu is too expensive and I would have to pay extra for extra tofu. I can’t believe how different sushi Totoro is. I will never be back, and it is 100% because of the owner.

This place used to have potential, but the past two times have been mediocre at best. The service is awful. We had our 1 and 3 year old with us and clarified they could eat off of my husband’s all you can eat menu. I was scolded and told I’d be charged the all you can eat fee if they saw me eat from his plate…you’re seriously watching me that closely? I can’t eat in peace? Now to clarify, this is what I ate - the ends of the French fries to cool them off for my 1 year old. I used my teeth to cut the seaweed around the avocado roll to get the rice and avocado out for my son to eat. If you can’t allow the food to just touch someone’s mouth, then you have problems. We will not be back.

food and service started out good- it was busy but not packed. i had to ask for refills every time and had to wait 10 minutes to get them/anything, the water was room temp tap with no ice in an already hot restaurant…. would not come here again for the ayce price alone and a small menu (that does not include a drink and no to go cups)- each leftover piece is a dollar added to the total, the edamame is bland and the nigiri falls apart all over subpar. i wanted to like this place so much but it was such let down and poor service, i didn’t even receive all my food before i left. had to leave a review in the
parking lot.

My wife and I have been regulars here since a friend showed us. We recently moved to the area and decided to enjoy a night back at Sushi Totoro. Overall nothing was bad until end. One of the chefs was eating behind the sushi make table while we were waiting for our check. I probably wouldn't even bat an eye if the server hadn't charged for the 3 single pieces left out of 5 rolls. 1 of the 3 fell on the ground and I was responsible enough to pick it up. We didn't eat much of the teriyaki chicken because it was dry chicken in a cup with a dash of teriyaki and sesame but of course I was charged for it. The server said the added leftover charge is hard to calculate and decided on $7. $1.25 per sushi and $3.25 for teriyaki chicken. I'll steer clear for a while to see if it was an off night.

Hmm it used to be good. But they raised the price so much and I had come here a lot before the owners were switched. And obviously that made a huge difference. When the owners switched there was a difference in quality and also compared to other places. Also for kids, the age for AYCE sushi had been like 9-10, but lowered to 8 so the business can profit out of the fact kids can’t eat much. So just above 8 would mean more than $30, with consideration that many restaurants have their kids menus sometimes even up to 12, but the 9-10 before was fine then. But charging as an adult at such a young age when many of them barely eat sushi, is interesting. The mistake in the first place was even considering this place as a dinner option. The place to go instead is Sho Sushi and Izakaya actually.
But the main complaint is that the tuna they served us was not good. The ends were curling up and the color was way off and very dull and gross looking. The taste wasn’t like tuna and had a sour hint to it and the texture was also off too. So that being said of course the people in my party who ate it all got stomachaches after and that was only after eating 1-2 pieces. After noting the bad tuna to the server, she simply just collected it without any compromise. I do think dealing with raw fish should be treated with more severity and such, but none of that happened. This place really loves to make money I suppose so they charge you overly for any deemed leftover even when most places wouldn’t at the level we left it at. Funny thing is, before they didn’t nitpick to that level so part of the almost $300 bill is “leftovers”, which was mainly comprised of like 3 rolls and scraps here and there, which is barely enough for an AYCE charge. Tip is also included, but even with the not so exceptional service, there’s still the audacity to ask for more. Just don’t waste your time and money here. The quality has dropped so much but to be paying this very much raised price, go to somewhere with more quality. Realistically, why would they work on quality, which is costly, when they are making so much money from what they are doing now? They just go on about that to persuade you to come like they have genuinely been making an effort, but I have still been coming over since the owner swap and everything is getting worse.
