- NBNatonga BozemanMay 10, 20261.0I went to the self checkout to pay for my groceries. Right when I got to the register the clerk tells go to a checkout that has a clerk. I understand the rule of 15 items or less at the self checkout, but only had 12 items. My assumption is he was worried about me not paying for everything like I'm a thief. First time coming to this Safeway & will be me last. I'll go back to shopping at the Safeway in my neighborhood. Where I never had issues in all the years I've been going there. It's a shame I got stereotyped. There were other people that had more then I did & nothing was said to them.

Now I go in and get employees yelling at me acting smug then getting security like they will help. Its not my job to stock shelves or make sure the product is labeled correctly or in the proper location. If I see a shelf full of 1 product only and a tag directly below im going to think "hey, thats the price." Otherwise its a bait and switch. Ill be calling corporate in the morning. Yelling at the customer, insisting they are wrong without looking at the shelf in question, thats just poor form. Notice not a garlic salt in sight.

Horrible manager Steve do better I would like to add that I am 78 years old and I have charcot Marie tooth and that one gentleman with very curly black hair was amazing help I wish I knew his name but he was so polite. I will shop more because of him

I've only been in about four times but I got Sushi there on their Sushi Friday and was amazed by the quality of the tuna both cut and spicy rolls. They have a true sushi chef making it right in front of you. As well as good prices on the small things I was looking for. It's near my new job. It has been good to me though. The neighborhood can be a little sketchy. In the 90s a good friend of mine was skating there and was shot in the leg for absolutely no reason. The service is great adding that so you know where you are. Good store good people. If it's near you and you need a grocery store that's your place.
