A deeply disappointing ADA accommodation experience after 20 years of dining here I have been coming to this Outback location for approximately 20 years, which made today’s experience particularly disappointing. My caregiver and I came in for lunch. She ordered a steak and salad, and I ordered an Outback salad. Because of my dietary restrictions, I had also brought a small commercially packaged container of salmon/nigiri purchased from King Soopers to supplement what I was able to eat. We were seated at a table in the front of the dining room, nowhere near the kitchen. We had already begun eating the food we purchased from Outback. Manager Drew approached us regarding my outside food. I specifically explained that I have dietary restrictions, explained why I had brought the supplemental food, and specifically requested an ADA accommodation. Drew refused. What concerned me most was his explanation. He repeatedly maintained that my commercially packaged food at our dining-room table presented an FDA/cross-contamination problem involving the restaurant’s food or kitchen. I was not asking Outback to prepare, refrigerate, heat, cut, plate, store, handle or serve my food. It never needed to enter their kitchen. It was simply being eaten by me at my table along with the salad I had purchased from Outback. Nevertheless, my caregiver and I were asked to leave. I have done essentially this same thing at this very Outback many times over roughly two decades without an incident like this. I understand that restaurants can have policies concerning outside food, and I respect legitimate food-safety requirements. What I do not understand is why, after I explained my dietary restrictions and specifically requested an ADA accommodation, there appeared to be no meaningful effort to consider a reasonable accommodation or explain how food sitting at my table could contaminate food inside an Outback kitchen with which it never came into contact. I would sincerely like Outback corporate management to review what happened and explain both the company’s ADA accommodation policy and the specific food-safety rule Drew believed required us to leave. This wasn’t about trying to bring another restaurant’s dinner into Outback instead of buying theirs. We were paying customers. We had ordered Outback food and were already eating it. I was asking for an accommodation so that I could eat safely alongside my caregiver. After approximately 20 years as a customer, being asked to leave under those circumstances was embarrassing, unnecessary and profoundly disappointing.

This was the best service and food I have ever had! Erin was wonderful, kind and courteous. I haven’t been here in years and she helped us navigate the menu beautifully. Answered all my questions. Thank you and I’ll be back!

First bloomin onion ever, it was a treat to be sure! Ordered Queenslands chiken shrimp pasta, filling and seasoned well. Could use a touch more garlic, but I'm just into garlic like that. Got the carrot cake to go. Pretty sure its gonna be good as well. Morgan was our server and she was super friendly and very knowledgable.

Food and service was excellent. That is not why it only getting 3 stars. My wife and I got two steak dinners and three drinks. With the tip it was 165.00 dollars. Great place to eat but found it too expensive. Unless they drop there prices I won’t be going back.
