    The Italian meals were delicious, everyone in our party enjoyed the selections and found the variety of meals pleasing and economical. Clean environment and the staff friendly and helpful.

    We were Celebrating Father's Day as well as my husband's Birthday with family (Retired Air Force as well as celebrating with out of town family member..food was great... servers were great ( Hailey & Josea).great customer service ..positive attitude but your Manager??!! Where did he come from and who trained him? We listened to him berate the servers in front of the whole Restaurant and the servers just stood there quietly.The place was practically empty so the sound travels!! Who is the Loser you had cooking who calls himself a Manager ...?? He made a very terrible comment to another family member of ours because she misunderstood a particular dish and he was very vile..Oh! By the way ...I was on the Covid /ER Team and I watched him wipe his nose on his blue apron at his post where he was cooking !!! How discussing!! I will report to PublicHealth Dept!! Please check your cameras..they don't lie!! FILTH!!!

    Yesterday we dined at the abilene location around 1pm. Party of 7 all family members and some who were visiting from out of state.We were fortunate to have Hailey assigned as our server. Hailey is very passionate and caring with her patrons and exudes what excellence is in customer service going above and beyond to make sure your needs are met , checking to see if you need a refill with your beverage, was the food order correct and hot, and checking to see if anything else was needed. We also interacted with Jose who was also an excellent representative for Carrabas. 5 stars for these two individuals. The place was not busy but there were other diners in different areas of the restaurant. I appreciate good customer service in any industry as I was a food service major in college with aspirations of managing a restaurant. It's a tough industry and sometimes the servers and staff don't get the recognition they deserve. The only thing negative for this dining experience was the way Hailey and other staff members were " berated" at the cooking station by the manager on duty. One of my family members had concerns about her meal and what was presented to her looked different from what was shown in the menu and when the concerns were conveyed to the manager who was cooking he unleashed a tirade which could be heard from where we were seated as well as other parts of restaurant which was truly unacceptable! My family member actually went up to the station to mitigate the conflict and he was "curt"with her while she explained what she wanted clarification on in regards to her meal and he displayed an "arrogance" with her stating nothing was wrong with her meal.She also let him know he should not be talking down to his staff as it was unprofessional and demeaning to them. Kudos to the restaurant staff for tolerating such antics.Shame on Carrabas if knowledge of these antics are condoned and not addressed. If you check your video footage for Father's day approximately 2pm or later these concerns will show validity in this review. He needs training not the staff .

    We were greeted by a very nice host, he is the only part of the night that we enjoyed. We had waited so long for drinks that my husband set a timer and after four minutes the waitress came over. She did not introduce herself nor say she’d be helping us. Just asked what we wanted to drink. We said we wanted Diet Coke and she said ‘oh we don’t have that ‘it wasn’t order or something like that.’ We got our cokes and I got a wine spritzer, which was great because my husband was not offered any more to drink until the end where our check was brought to the table. We ordered our meal as soon as we got our drinks she immediately brought bread and soup to the table. The bread was so hard; we had to put it in the soup to soften it up. We got our meals and the mashed potatoes were mashed, but there were whole potatoes in it as well. Before our meals arrived, we asked for more bread, which we never got, of course. She never asked us how her meal was. She never came back and asked if we wanted drinks until she placed the check on the table. Then she asked my husband if he’d like a refill. She asked if we needed boxes and we said, ‘yes we needed 2.’ She never came back to the table to get the check nor to give us the boxes I went up to the waitress stand to pay the check and I said, ‘you never gave us our bread nor our boxes.’ When I went up there, she was texting that’s why she was not able to help us. She didn’t apologize for not bringing our bread and handed me two boxes with no bag. So I went to the cooks and asked for a bag and he happily gave it to me. I was very disappointed because at night the manager always comes over and asks how everything was. He was with a party before us and they were doing a raffle and one of the people want a bottle of bourbon. He said, ‘well we all gotta do a shot.’ Then he disappeared. He never came out to ask us how the food was how the service was nothing we never saw him again I called the next day to complain to a manager. I talked to someone who said he would have a manager call me, but of course no manager called me. I called the corporate office where I was told someone would call me back and still no call back If I was a first time customer, I would never go back and as a long-standing Carrabba‘s customer, I will not go back to that one ever again. I would recommend you do not go to that restaurant as they do not care about your experience

    Olive Garden says, "When you're here you're family" Carraba's slogan should be "when you're here you're our mother-in-law, whom we hope to make uncomfortable so she never returns." Please look no further than the recent reviews, it should encourage you to open a can of Chef Boyardee before coming here. I had the pleasure of picking up an online order on a beautiful Sunday afternoon after church. The parking lot had plenty of open spaces, so fortunately parking isn't an issue. Had I been eating in, it would have been a nice experience of having a restaurant all to myself. There were two tables occupied. This really surprised me as I couldn't find anyone to help me with retrieving my to-go order. I waited several minutes, watching the Spurs rerun at the bar before venturing in dining room and finding Sanjay a waiter who passed me my food. I do take ownership as I should have double checked my order, but I arrived at my destination to find a bag filled with multiple side salads, bread and an order of wings, OH NO! Several of the items were back at the restaurant. My mother who placed the order called and requested fresh wings as the one thing that was actually ordered would be cold and given the nature of the get together we couldn't reheat them. I arrive back at Carraba's that same unappealing odor as you walk in the door greets me. It is the only thing that acknowledges me as I sit at the bar with the flies. Finally two young women emerge. Hailey is extremely helpful working as a mediator to make sure I receive my food. I inquire about the wings to which she says, "let me ask." My attention to Wemby's dominating 4th quarter performance is interrupted with Sanjay's shrill voice exclaiming, "SHE'S A LIAR! I'll tell her to her face she's a liar!" My only wish is that he would have made good on his word, alas Hailey returned to say that they could not accommodate my request. I greatly appreciate her professionalism but after being called a liar in a childish outburst, I can't justify spending money there. The manager doubles as the cook, which may explain the disarray this location is in. I was told once the manager was off of the grill I would receive a refund for the meal since I opted to leave the food. I'm sure this come as a surprise to no one, it was not refunded. If given the option, I would give this place 0 stars. I hope the young women who actually seem to care are able to find better management or better jobs so they can receive the training and money commiserate with their clear desire to create a great experience.
