The manager, or presumably shift supervisor at the least, was terribly rude. Beyond rude. I’ve never been talked to that way by anyone in a customer service position before, ever. The young man who helped me afterwards was incredibly nice, and even he seemed embarrassed by her (the shift supervisor/manager) behavior. I ordered a burger, and the woman was like, “well, we don’t have that here.” I said, “sorry, but I’m meaning #(whatever number the burger correlated to) combo.” She said, “well, we still don’t have that but whatever, #(enter number); what else?” Then, it was my girlfriend’s birthday, so the app offered a free item. We collected that item from the young man I mentioned previously. However, upon arriving at the window to collect the food items, the young man proceeded to tell us that the chef didn’t have enough items to make one of the food items, coincidentally the same one we requested as my girlfriend’s free item. I said, oh that’s ok, should we order something else? At that point, we heard the female supervisor say, “no, they need to pay for everything in the bag.” The young man proceeded to say, “sorry, the chef is refusing to make anything further.” My girlfriend then looked in the bag and saw that we had all of our requested items, but a second/duplicate of the item we redeemed as her birthday reward. We were confused and asked for clarification, but the young man said, you’re all good, it’s all okay. I could tell that the shift manager was irritated and pissed off because she was making unintelligible comments from the back, line cook area. I’m not sure what we did to deserve that treatment, but I don’t think we did anything at all. If anything, it sounded like a misunderstanding that turned into the manager/shift supervisor being very rude out of frustration. The young man was incredibly helpful and polite; however, the manager should be told that if a customer is confused about a specific name of an item, but clarifies with the combo # and it is clear that the customer added an unneeded name or word to the item’s name, then making further comments is unhelpful and unprofessional. Just my two cents. I don’t think we will come back to this location solely because of the attitude and comments made by the manager/shift supervisor that day. I’d rather get my food somewhere I don’t have to feel anxious and uncomfortable, or even worried that my food’s going to be tainted solely because I angered someone with a simple misunderstanding…
