We ordered kale crunch salads, and halfway through eating mine, I noticed what I thought was a peppercorn. When I isolated it for a closer look, it was a fly. I immediately spit out my food and had to fight the urge to be sick. My friend brought the salad to the front counter. An employee said he'd show it to the manager, but the manager took it to the back and nothing happened. Only after my friend asked for a replacement did anyone take action. When he returned to the table, I declined the replacement. The new salad would have come from the same batch, meaning it was just as likely to be contaminated. We waited for the manager to come check on us or offer an apology. He never came. We had to go to him. The manager, who introduced himself as the "Director of Front of House Operations," gave a halfhearted apology and then suggested the fly could have "come from anywhere," essentially implying we were making it up. He offered no comp, no gift card, and told us there was no one above him we could speak to, just go leave feedback on the website. No accountability. No follow-up. No acknowledgment of the health concern. And to my knowledge, no one pulled that batch of salads. I understand things happen in food service. What's unacceptable is the dismissiveness, the implied blame, and the complete absence of any genuine effort to make it right. This is a food safety issue, not an inconvenience, and it was treated like the latter.

Something about the way she spoke was just so much more than customer service and I felt so seen in such a mundane interaction where I wouldn't normally expect that. All the other employees are so nice as well!! I always have a great experience here.
