  No online ordering, only 5 choices of soda, attitude from staff and supervisor. Only partially filled fries and tots containers. Worst experience ever.

  Oh dear no good if you're not local. Driving through USA for the last 3 weeks kept seeing these Sonic places so decided to give the one in Winslow Arizona a go. Did some preparation looking at the menu online so I knew exactly what I wanted. A couple of the $9 cheeseburger meals, large onion rings and 5 chicken strips. OK drove to the parkup place to submit my order. Thinking I could just key my order in I was surprised when I had to tell someone my order through a speaker. It just didn't work. The poor chap couldn't hear me so he ended up coming to the car to write down my order on a tiny bit of scrap paper. I hadn't much confidence as I selected a few options like no tomato, no mayo, add mustard to one of the burgers and the various sauces like bbq, buffalo, groovy (whatever that is). Anyway he went off to get the order submitted. I then saw bits of it come through on the screen near my car and then the speaker went again saying I could only choose 2 sauces and they would be extra 25c each. I said on the Web menu it says 3 sauces included but never mind I'll take the hit. OK then the blast option of banana pudding shake wasn't on his option, again it was when I looked online. So ended up saying to forget him ordering it for me ill just go online and order it myself for collection he agreed and would start getting the order together so it would be quicker. So I went on the app and added everything to my order including the 3 complimentary sauces which came with the $9 meals and the banana blast. Then I entered my payment details then it wanted a zip code. Im from UK so entered the UK zip code associated with my payment card that I use for gas, food etc but oh no it wouldn't accept it. It also asked for a USA cell phone number which I don't have so that didn't work also. So I ended up going to see someone at the store to say it was impossible for me to order using the app online as it insisted on me setting up an account. Best to just cancel the order and I'll go elsewhere. So we did, over to Dennys 5mins away where I ordered off a menu, paid using my UK credit card and didn't have to set up an account to order burger and fries. Im sure the Sonic business model works for regulars but it definitely doesn't work for a Brit on his holidays travelling Route 66. Sigh...

  They have limited staff so it takes a while to get your food and drinks.

  Burger was moldy, drink was watered down and moldy tasting. The fries were overcooked and seemed like they’ve been sitting out for a long time. I threw up after swallowing the first bite.
