Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
I tried the Bacon Wrangler Double and it is the best dam burger I've ever had! Flavor reminds me of a barbeque burger with the spice of a hot and spicy. Idk what it is a perfect combo.

This location continues to get worse and worse with everything from food quality to customer service to drive through wait times. I don't know how this place is getting a 4.2 Google rating.
I just stopped there earlier today and grabbed a burger and a drink, not good. I waited for over 10 minutes in the drive through for my order. It was a simple order. No cars ahead of me, so I figured I would be in and out in about 5 minutes. That did not happen. Food was ok. Food temp was medium.
I really try to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but each time I go there it just continues to get worse. The only good thing about this location is that it's convenient, plus it's the only one west of the freeway.
If you're thinking about stopping by here, you're better off going to the one on River and La Cholla. It may be a little further away but it's well worth it.
Everything SUCKS about this location:
Food sucks!! (always cold by the time you get home)
Customer service especially sucks!!
The kids and the kid-managers/kid team-leads that try to "run" this place, have no concept of what customer service is.
Doesn't anyone know how to say "Hello, welcome to Whataburger" or even smile. Too easy people!!
Wait time sucks!!
Management really sucks!!
I have spoken to a few people who claim to be "managers or assitant managers", and you basically are wasting your time to raise a concern with their employees or whatever the issue is. Nothing is ever resolved!!
Please do not waste your time going to this location at all.

First experience with Whataburger…..wrong order, dry burger. No idea what the total bill was. Receipt doesn’t provide cost.

The staff at this location are amazing! They really took care of me and my daughter while we had lunch. We don't get out much and my little girl wanted a juicy burger, so we went to my all-time favorite burger chain where I introduced her to a patty melt. Everything was hot and fresh, perfectly tasty and exactly what we wanted. The excellent service was the cherry on top! There was only one concern that my daughter didn't let drop; the flies. There were a lot of them and even though she sacrificed a couple fries to keep them away, ultimately, cheese and burger juice are WAY more appealing!
