  You never really know what you're gonna get here. Sometimes the food is amazing and great and other times I think they give you food from the week before. I'm constantly getting nasty fries, ugly chicken and almost always the wrong sauce. They also always ask if I want ketchup and I ALWAYS SAY NO but they always give it to me anyways. So frustrating to eat here because I don't get the food that I order and then when I finally do, the quality of the food is very hit and miss.

  Usually I love whataburger! Today was different we picked up some wings on at Mary’s but I was craving whataburger. We stopped at the st Mary’s location and boy will I never go back. Only two tables were being used and all others were disgusting. Food left on them soda spilt under one, it was just a mess. Employees were talking about it and one even said ugh ugh not my turn. So sad! Other customers were wiping down their own tables. Last time we visit this place and hopefully it doesn’t deter me from visiting others

  I’m here to right the wrongs of the unkind reviewer below who acts like they’re the final authority on what a Whataburger should taste like! My partner and I hit the Whataburger on a late drive after a long day, half expecting the usual fast-food disappointment. Suffice to say, it delivered exactly what we needed and then some. The place was clean, the line moved, and the staff was friendly without that forced corporate cheer. It’s the kind of spot that still feels like a Texas institution even when you’re in Arizona—straightforward, no pretension, just burgers and fries that hit when you want them. Now, for the food. We ordered the classic Whataburger with cheese, a Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich, and a large order of fries with a couple of spicy ketchup packets. The burger was hot, the bun held up, the mustard and pickles were balanced, and the meat actually tasted like beef instead of the sad, gray hockey puck some other chains serve. The chicken strips were crispy without being greasy, and the honey BBQ had that sweet heat that makes you keep reaching for more. Fries were properly salted and stayed crisp longer than they had any right to. We even got the apple pie for the road and it was still warm—flaky, cinnamon-y, and not soggy. Prices felt fair for what you get, especially compared to other fast-food places that have quietly inflated everything. Service was quick and no-nonsense. They got the order right the first time, which already puts them ahead of half the reviews claiming otherwise. We’ll be back whenever the craving hits, and we’re ignoring the people who act like a fast-food burger is supposed to be a fine-dining experience or who complain because it isn’t “gourmet.” Signed, two humans who just wanted a solid burger and actually got one.
