I will not shop there anymore. They continue to raise their prices contributing to the inflation problem everyone is dealing with. They can’t say suppliers are raising their cost when other grocery stores are selling the same products for much less. They try to gouge you wherever they can, on top of making you ring up and bag your own groceries. Dairy products for sale that expired over a week ago, bakery items on rack for sale several days past expiration up date. The Red Bird Farms chicken is good but their beef poor quality and over priced.

The five stars are for Safeway's helpful and kind employees who bring the groceries to the parking lot. The employees and the service itself was a blessing.
Placing the order only through Safeway's website, however, is not user friendly. On Sunday, I placed an order for over $100 and was required to individually select the option "Do Not Substitute" for each item. While the kindness of the employees may be worth staying for, the difficulty of the websites has motivated me to explore grocery sto9res.

I’m gonna use the voice to text option for this review earlier this week I visited the store and I used the scanning go method. I used my WIC card to pay for some of the produce and dairy and then I use my normal credit card that I always use for my groceries and for some reason it left one penny I tried three other cards and none of them seem to work. The cashier even tried putting in change because I didn’t have any change in my wallet at the time I did offer to go to my car and grab changed to try to see if it work. It kept spitting the money back and then she got the manager who was less than pleasant. She seemed very annoyed with the situation because they transferred me to another register, which then kept messing with the total and changing the amount owed basically at the end of this, she just told me just go as if like she just wanted me out of her sight now last night I put in for a delivery order to be delivered between 4 PM and 5 PM when the driver arrived it was beginning to Rain and the driver messaged me saying it would be a minute the driver’s through Uber apparently well then a couple minutes later the driver marked my order as canceled saying I wasn’t home but I was home and I communicated with him and he knew I was home and had he messaged back. I obviously would’ve just gone to his car. Got the groceries in the rain and walked them back. Not a big deal doesn’t matter to me. I have spent more time on the phone between Safeway and customer service. Then I would have had I just gone to go grocery shopping myself on the 12th around 6:30 PM I called and talked to someone in the grocery delivery section and basically he said he didn’t have time to deal with my order and there is apparently a note somewhere in the store that actually says that because another employee is the one who told me that when I was on the phone with the guy that was working last night, he was very disrespectful. Acted like he couldn’t care less from the start and all I was trying to do was figure out where my grocery order was what to do about it and when it would be red delivered, unfortunately this is the store that I shop at the most and now I don’t feel inclined to, even though it is four minutes from my house.
