  This is my first review of this Safeway, and I’m giving it 3 stars because I’ve already contacted the store about an ongoing food-safety issue with how groceries are being bagged, and nothing has changed. I’ve now had multiple cashiers bag raw chicken together with perishable foods such as blueberries, zucchini, and squash. Raw meat should not be placed in the same bag with produce. The fact that I’ve already addressed this issue with the store and it is still happening tells me there is clearly a problem with employee training. Yesterday was particularly frustrating. The employee bagged my zucchini and squash in the same bag as raw chicken, and then wouldn’t assist me by handing over the groceries after they were rung up and bagged. I had to reach across the counter to get them myself despite having lower-back issues. Basic food-safety practices and basic customer service, such as handing a customer their groceries, should be second nature to employees working a checkout. These are two very basic expectations that shouldn’t have to be explained or repeatedly addressed. At this point, I’m disappointed because I’ve already brought the food-handling issue to the store’s attention, and the problem still hasn’t been fixed. There is clearly a training issue that needs to be addressed.

  Everyone that works in this Safeway are the most miserable people ive seen all in one place. Cashier's get mad when you walk up to their registers and no one will answer a simple question without giving you the most attitude they can muster.

  Stopped at this safeway on the way home, Vinny was in the deli area about to close, he had already cleaned the cutting machine, i asked if he could still give me some cracked pepper turkey and some pepper jack cheese. HE DID!! Vinny you are so sweet and kind, you are a great person and should be a manager. You have amazing customer service skills 👏. Will for sure stop at this great safeway again. 😊 You're the man Vinny!

  Mercedes, in the bakery department and the manager, Alexis are two of the absolute most customer service oriented people I have ever met. They went absolutely above and beyond for my husband and I tonight and ensured that we did not leave unhappy. As a customer service worker myself I can absolutely say that these two need a raise. Mercedes, Alexis- thank you for making a little boys 10th birthday extra special!
