- JPJillian Press2 days ago2.0I am very disappointed with my recent experience at this Safeway. I purchased only two items, yet a much larger transaction was charged to my account of $300.00 because, according to customer service, my transaction was not properly closed out and another customer’s purchases were added to my card. As a result, I had to spend my own time reviewing statements, contacting my credit card company, speaking with the store, and working to resolve an issue that was not my fault. An apology alone is not enough. Customers should not have to spend hours fixing a store’s checkout error. Safeway should consider compensating affected customers with a gift card or another goodwill gesture for the inconvenience and time required to resolve mistakes like this. Also your $300.00 error could have maxed out my credit card and create havoc with them. I also encourage shoppers to carefully review their receipts and credit card statements after shopping and hope Safeway strengthens its checkout procedures so this doesn’t happen again.

Loitering is a big issue at this shopping center. I hope that Safeway can leverage their brand to get the shopping center owner to improve this location.

Next instance, I'm going to snap a photo, nice wide shot, showing four customers laboring to checkout with full carts, and the employee just kickin' it and leaning up against Customer Service counter. On another topic, as the anchor tenant, seems you could engage Volk to address the horrid asphalt issues, Safeway Lake in the back, and lack of landscape maintenance.
