- SSSusan SixSep 20, 20261.0Went to Safeway at Valencia and Dexel today. No sooner did I start to walk down the ice cream aisle when I slipped and fell in the middle of the aisle due to water all over the floor!! No one came to help me. So I managed to get up off the floor, throw two yellow cones that were next to the freezer doors into the middle of the aisle and carefully walk slowly out of the aisle. I only saw one store employee when I was headed to the self check out lane. I let him know that I fell and his only comment was "sorry about that" and did nothing else. So I checked out and I was going to stop at the customer service desk and let him/her know that I fell but there were other shoppers there waiting for the manager and I just wanted to get out of the store. So I headed on home very upset and physically hurt. I am 78 years old and I am very concerned about other shoppers at this Safeway who could slip and fall and possibly brake a hip or leg due to floors that are not taken care of properly when they are wet. Luckily that did not happen to me. I only have sore legs from the fall. I Hope the staff there will start to take better care of the wet and slippery floors at this Safeway for future shoppers!!
