I know this place gets packed quickly so I went about 430pm which gave me a choice of where to sit. Seating is imited but it worth the wait or better vet order to take home. The PORTIONS are huge along with a salad and some aarlic bread. The Monster Lasaqna is a little over 2lbs heavv and can easily make 4 meals out of it if you have salad and bread on the side The Creamy Truffle Tuscany is delicious and I ate what I could ther took home leftovers and aot 2 additional meals out of it with a side salad. You think it's pricey but if you think about how much food vou get t's actually not. It's well worth the wait and the cost!! Bonus the staff are super awesome!!! Also you can brinc in your own unopened bottle of wine they will open for $5) or alcoho beverage (or go right next doors to Frys and pick up before going to eat).

Stopped for first time with my dad and sister after hearing amazing reviews from neighbors and it was really good! The counter service and self serve beverage counter threw me off a little since the tiny dining room is decorated with linen cloths and flower centerpieces, I assumed it was a traditional restaurant where the server would come take your order. They did have several signs directing you to the counter but their decor must have thrown so many off that they put an ordering instruction page on the door and inside the dining room. We got eggplant parm, spinach ravioli and stuff mushrooms...everything was so flavorful, eggplant was tender yet not mushy, (I think grilled then battered and baked) and the portions are HUGE! They also serve French bread slices and cold pasta salad at no cost so if you get full easy prepare to have delicious leftovers the next day! We were there on a weekday afternoon, and it wasn't too busy inside, but there were a lot of to go orders of people picking up dinner. I suppose you could get groceries at Frys next door then pick up a to go order of food and be all set! They also had lasagna in the cooler that was pre-made and ready to go, also some amazing looking desserts like carrot cake, tiramsu and others, but no room for it. Next time I plan to get a dessert to go! The best part besides the awesome food was the fact that the music was blasting and the person who rang me up was very nice and said she needed to turn the music down because it was hard to hold a conversation with it so loud. I agreed, then it turned down and we could hear ourselves at our table which was great!

So if y’all have been bummed about how far east the original location was you can turn your frowns upside down because they are now off Campbell and Prince in the Safeway shopping plaza. So I went last night to pick up some food to dazzle my family with. I wish we had dined in because they seriously stepped up the ambiance. It’s the same Nate’s as far as the food is concerned “ I nursed my cheesesteak all through the night and am just now finishing it this morning” amazingly generous portions, everything and I mean everything is made fresh. They don’t have a bucket of whatever the sauce is you’re thinking of.. no Nate literally makes your dish from scratch when you order it. Same goes for the beef that goes on the cheesesteaks. Fresh not frozen, sliced daily and made fresh for you when you order it. They are hands down THE BEST SANDWICHES IN TUCSON! Anyone that disagrees with that statement probably hasn’t had the privilege of nursing their sandwich baby into the we hours of the night.. it will get you out of bed but not to get a bottle of milk no you’re going to make sweet sweet sandwich love all night long. Ok serious now you can for real life split this with whoever and each person will be FULL or you could save some like I do for later at night ;) Ok and besides the food being epic to the level of nobody being able to come close to the mark let alone compete Nate is an AMAZING person with a heart of gold who helps many men and women and their families. Nate’s Italian is the embodiment of what a locally owned and operated business should be. Go check them out you won’t regret it. The food is life changing. You’ll start measuring time and days based off of when is the next time I get to go to Nate’s Italian

Placed a pick-up order for an Italian Artichoke Sub, Eggplant Parmigiana, and a Creamy Truffle Tuscany Pasta through Nate's app. Arrived at the restaurant about 12 minutes after order placement and waited about two minutes before all the food came out; this was very efficient, considering the restaurant seating was over half full. The sub was BIG, easily enough for two adults. It was stacked with nicely sliced tasty cold cuts and the veggies in it were all fresh. The eggplant parmigiana was very tasty. The Tuscany pasta had a nice truffle taste and was indeed creamy. After it was all said and done, we have enough leftovers for another meal. Nate's is fantastic!

The portions are very large, could probably have shared a single entree with the SO. As it is, SO ate less than half of the mushroom and sausage cavatappi special and I took my spaghetti and meatballs as leftovers. The food was good, not great--the tomato sauce does not taste like it's straight out of a tin which is great, but neither does it stand out or is memorable for me (fairly bland, added a lot of chili pepper to the leftovers), would prefer to make my own for a fraction of the price in the future. We had come here before their remodel and was disappointed that they no longer provide extra complimentary servings of bread at request. That being said, a little put out that an $80 bill with 2 entrees won't comp an extra serving of bread ($2.25). I've done inventory and forecasts for casual dining establishments and I know that desserts and pasta are the cheapest things that can be made with the highest profit, so $80 for two pasta dishes, two desserts, and a water and iced tea was startling for me, especially when the same (or protein and sides) can be found at a chain restaurant for at least a third less if not more. Pretty sure the aforementioned was why we hadn't come back in a couple of years and as a carbivore that chooses pasta for the side bread, I don't see us coming back. Worth a visit, but wouldn't count us a regulars like others.
