Seven - yes, seven - times I placed my order via the app (as reflected in my credit card transactions). When I arrived at the store, there is no record of any order. But the wait was only 7-10 minutes. Until the manager tells her cashier BOGOBURGER is only available online. Apparently, my seven tries do not count. And my in-store order would not be accepted. Really! Business must be good for Five Guys to forfeit an order. And REALLY good for Five Guys to forfeit a long-time customer. Maybe management is not aware of the abundant choices of delicious burgers in Tucson. Five Guys deleted me as a customer. Meanwhile, I deleted the Five Guys app.

When I got there I received no welcome greeting, not even a look in my direction and that would be okay if it was busy. I understand that if it was busy and got no welcome it would make sense but the place only had 4 customers. Online instructions explain to walk up to the pickup counter and so that’s exactly what I did. I’m standing in front of the pickup counter and waiting for one of them to ask if I have a mobile/ online order and ask for my name but no one said anything to me. Not a single word. So, I give them a few minutes because maybe the cashier needs to ask me that? And the cashier was taking care of a customer so I let it slide like a minute or two. But 5 minutes go by and no one has looked in my direction, the staff are talking amongst themselves and proceeding to ignore me. 2 guys look in my direction and we make eye contact but they look away quickly. I’d also like to add that the woman who ordered at the counter looked visibly upset when they finally called her order. So, after about 20 minutes after I placed my order, my boyfriend had to come into the establishment. But as my boyfriend walks in another gentleman walks in as well and staff immediately acknowledge the gentleman and gives him his pickup order. Then proceeds to fully acknowledge my boyfriend. I don’t know what happened but I stood in front of the pickup counter for 10 minutes waiting for them to ask me if I had a pickup order but never got asked. I have never been more annoyed in my life. Why else would I be standing in front of the pickup counter? And I’m pretty sure one of the staff was a manager. The whole experience was very demeaning and upsetting. Do better with customer service.
