  I have been frequenting Bruegger’s for about 20 years. In fact, I worked at this location when I was in high school and college for about 4-5 years (I think Sean was the owners name at the time). The bagels have always been consistently good. However, recently things have changed. Particularly, the cheese bagels. They changed the dough… and not for the better. The cheese bagels at Safeway are now better than what they offer at Bruegger’s. Really disappointing.

  I’m never one to complain and I’ve given this store quite a few separate chances but today was the straw that broke the camels back! Employees seemed confused, no sense of urgency and not friendly at all. Waited over 20 min expected time for an online order while every other person coming in after me was served. No apologies or acknowledgement or anything. Got home and our order wasn’t even correct. Super disappointing. Highly recommend other locations.

  It's been a long time since I have been here, now I know why. WTH has happened here, I thought the bagels were made on site, I thought they made the dough on site, I thought they employed an actual Baker. The answer to all those questions is no!! No Baker, no fresh dough. Infact when I got there I saw the "Baker" through the viewing window taking frozen bagels from a bag placing them on a sheet pan to defrost. When I asked the clerk about what I had seen, she said they only use frozen bagels, and she could not tell me where to he frozen bagels were made. When I tasted the bagel it was tough, doughy, and had 0 crunch. Never again, take the extra 5 minutes and go to Bubbes on speedway & wilmot.

  I have been going there for years and had my order made the same specifically only toasting the bagel. However, the shift lead today was so rude and refused to give me the bagel I had already paid for if ordered like usual. This shift lead (Mexican, has tattoos, and a dermal facial piercing) has been consistently rude every time I have come in there and shows no customer service skills and had made the same customized order a couple days ago herself. She has no business working in customer service.

  The staff is rude and condescending. It's been that way for at least a year now. Other reviews state the same thing and management promises to change things around. But they do nothing. I went in today for a dozen bagels cut in half. No cream cheese. Easy right? I watched as she put the bagels on the counter to be cut and just had a feeling she would use a dirty knife that had already cut many, many sandwiches that included cream cheese. I WAS RIGHT! She started cutting with the dirty knife and when I asked her to use a clean one, but became quite put off. She cleaned the knife and then went back to work. One of her co-workers came around the corner and they started whispering about me and making jokes about being a "Karen". This was so upsetting to have the staff make fun of me.......Management: don't pretend like you care - do something. NOW! Maybe look at In-N-Out's playbook for customer service. Ugh!
