I’ve only ever ordered through Uber Eats and the food is really good, in my honest opinion. The thing that frustrates me the most is their lack of attention to detail. Not once, not twice, but THREE times they failed to put my honey mustard that they charged me for in my bag. It may not seem like a big deal but it puts a damper on the experience I was expecting to have plus I paid for it. Uber Eats did reimburse for the inaccuracy but I just wish they had enough wherewithal to pay closer attention to order details, especially for a repeat customer! Someone over there needs to be replaced.

I went to buy a cake for my sons birthday and they wouldn't sell me one. They also told me that the other locations wouldn't sell me one and that i needed to just buy slices. I called the Chandler location and they said that wasn't true and I drove over there and got one.

There are few culinary experiences left in this weary world capable of transporting a man back to the innocence of youth. A perfectly dressed Chicago dog, the sharp snap of a sausage beneath the teeth, golden crinkle fries still breathing steam into the Arizona night — these are not merely meals. They are memories. And upon entering Portillo's, I believed, for one fleeting moment, that I had found sanctuary. The food was magnificent. The beef, tender and dripping with reckless indulgence. The chocolate cake shake, an absurd monument to excess that somehow justifies humanity’s continued existence. Every bite whispered the dangerous lie that perhaps joy could still be purchased at a counter beneath fluorescent lights. But then… I made the fatal mistake of visiting the restroom. What awaited me beyond that door was not a bathroom. It was a descent. A place so offensively unclean, so spiritually abandoned, that I half expected to see raccoons fighting over wet paper towels in the corner while a sink groaned its final breath into oblivion. The floor possessed a texture no floor should ever possess. The smell did not enter the room — it attacked. It lingered with intent. One does not simply “wash their hands” in this establishment. One survives an encounter. And that is the tragedy of it all. Because the kitchen clearly contains artists. Somewhere behind those counters are people crafting food worthy of praise. Yet only a few feet away exists a restroom that suggests civilization itself has collapsed. It is difficult to savor the memory of a perfect Italian beef while wondering if the CDC should be alerted. I arrived prepared to write a love letter. Instead, I leave conflicted — clutching a delicious sandwich in one hand and a lost sense of innocence in the other.

I know, I know, I know…the first time I have Portillo’s it’s in Tempe and not Chicago, but that being said…DAMN, this place is good!!! 😳😂🤩 I’ve been told to try it in Chicago but I haven’t had a chance to yet. But I’m still glad I finally got a chance to see what it’s all about! It definitely lives up to the hype 🔥 6/5 stars! And oh, I’ll be trying it Chicago soon too 😉

Every visit is better than the last, this team always finds a way to outdo themselves. Ayisa (I'm so sorry if I butchered the spelling) immediately welcomed my service dog, offering him a cup of water before having even sat. That kind of genuine care really sets the tone when enjoying a meal. Now that meal...every time, absolutely sensational. This used to be the expensive place we could rarely go to, but with inflation, they've kindly kept their prices—now it's the reasonably-priced place with the best experience, what more could you want?? Thank you guys so much!
