Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

    Always good place to stop for a quick and delicious dinner. My son wanted 17 pickles on his burger, they did exactly that. Ha ha

    We waited 15 minutes for our order to be fulfilled, but to no avail. Every five minutes, the employee would ask us to wait, even though there were absolutely no orders ahead of us. Why do you waste people's time like this—especially when we have work commitments and cannot afford to be late? If your staff members are lazy, you need to take steps to ensure the proper functioning of this restaurant, which suffers from such poor service. Furthermore, the staff working the night shift treat customers poorly and show them no respect—something I have experienced personally on more than one occasion. The service is truly terrible, and the food is substandard.

    I’ve been enjoying Whataburger since the 1970’s. I’ve NEVER had a bad meal. Fast forward to the last year. This place has never fallen short during the day. Unfortunately, I usually stop late at night or very early in the morning. It’s this time/shift that craps the bed every time. The buns are stale, the food is dried out and served warm at best but generally cold to the touch. Because I use the drive thru, this mess isn’t discovered until I’m a less than mile away. The staff has always been decent except when it comes to their appearance. Shirts untucked, sometimes no company uniform at all. Hell, it could be a friend of an employee serving the food. Ethnic background aside, these teens need a crash coarse in professionalism and work ethics. There’s no sense of urgency at this location. I’ve actually stood inside at the counter 20 minutes waiting to place my order all while making eye contact with the so-called manager who was playing around with her employees. In closing, I’ve written the home office and have yet to hear back. In the meantime, find another Whataburger if you want fresh and hot food. The best thing to happen to this location is for it to close permanently. As much as I love Whataburger, maybe a White Castle would be a better fit.

    My husband picked up dinner tonight between 7:00 and 8:00 and I got a chicken strip meal the gravy was like a glob of glue and the Texas toast was smashed and hard and chewy as you can see in the picture This is the closest Whataburger to us but sometimes we need to go to the other one for quality. It doesn't give me an option for the wait through the drive-thru but he said it took forever.

    We like to come here late night for a treat and every time I come here the young lady at the window is so polite!! She’s probably Gen Z which they tend to get a bad rap for bad customer service but this girl is on top of it! Really knows how to deliver excellent customer service. She’s very friendly, bubbly personality and smiling. She double checks that you get your sauces, which many other fast food establishments tend to forget and I just feel so seen because she always remembers me!
