Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
I moved to Scottsdale in 1985 to open the station for Alaska Airlines. I met my wife there and Whataburger turned out to be my new lifelong favorite burger place. Love peppers on my burger.

I used to love going to Whataburger but this experience has made it so I'm not sure I want to come back. The Coke tasted like diet Coke the Sprite was just carbonated water. The employees were standing there with nothing to do didn't want to check the Coke machine. My hamburger looked like it was sat on. Did not look like the pictures. Not sure what happened to this store. But I only come to the Phoenix area once a year and we've always stopped at this Whataburger and now I'm not sure I want to come back.

Solid burger place. We are from California so we always heard this place was comparable to In n Out. I would not put in that tier. It was much more in line with Jack in the Box or something similar. Still a good burger but it did not live up to the high expectations that had been set.

Placed an order through the app for curbside pickup. Had to wait 30 minutes for my order. The manager brought it out and apologized stating he had a new cook. Check my order and the burger is not correct. I go inside and advise the manager. He brings it out a second time, says sorry for ruining your day. I check it and it has no burger patties and no cheese. So, I get a bun with mayo and onion. I go back in the store and let the manager know. His response was a chuckle and an empty apology. I left without my order and the thought that I'll never go to this location again.
