- JJJLJun 27, 20261.0Really poor customer service. I ordered pickup for 9a, got an email from Safeway saying order was ready for pickup a little after 7a (see photo) so I headed to store. Clicked the on my way button. Some shaved head attendant came out and told me in the future don't arrive earlier then scheduled pick up time (ie 9a) because staff is busy doing other things. So why send me an email my order was READY for pickup?? I was quite shocked. I won't be returning. Not the first time Safeway staff has been rude.

First off, there was a new girl, she had left this poor thing alone to fend for herself, there was a line of people and the girl had no idea what she was doing, in her defense she was new and shouldn’t have been left alone. After about 10min, in strolls in the Starbucks manager who was apparently “on a break. The second time, I waited for 15min, not a soul was behind the counter at the Starbucks, after waiting for 15min in comes in the Starbucks manager and the other employee - apparently they had “stepped out for lunch”. Did not apologize, left no sign. Nothing. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. For a manager, she is completely unprofessional and maybe needs some new training.

The driver who delivered my groceries ended up delivering my order to a completely different building & apartment. After not getting help from the app customer service, I came to this store and explained the situation to the employee (I believe her name was Jada). I know now this specific store doesn't offer Safeway Delivery, but the manager Kara was incredibly helpful, and called around the different Safeway stores in the area to try and figure out which store got my online order even though the customer service desk was closed for the day. After a while she found the store and spoke to their manager who stated they would redeliver my order. Thank you again Kara and Jada! (I'm so sorry if that's not your name! 😅)
