  Can't belive some one would give this place less then 5 stars, had the nachos and my God I did not know queso could taste so good. Come here for some of the best Mexican food in the valley.

  Quite possibly the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Fake smoke taste totally dominated both the queso and the salsa. Crazy. Plus the chips I paid for were broken up into little pieces amd extremely over salted. Usually places in Scottsdale do not even salt chips. He brought me new ones but they were only slightly better but even saltier. The worse was the vegetarian enchiladas with no squash or zucchini to be found unless one or two slivers and you could not tell. Im from the East Coast and know wonderful veggie enchiladas and this was a pile of barely edible mush. I was hungry and ate some queso but ill probably be ill tonight from the fake smoke they feel the need to add. You live and learn. Why in the world was even the green salsa they switched me to as didn't like the smoke flavor of red one unbelievably salty? Do they not know they're in Scottsdale? Oh the mocktail was salted too and it wasn't a margarita. It was okay, they were nice enough to redo without salt. The server was nice but I picked the wrong place.

  Mochilero is a hidden gem! We found it by accident when they closed the roads due to construction on our way home from the west valley. So glad the roads were closed😉) The food, cocktails and staff are exceptional! Scott makes the greatest margaritas and palomas in Scottsdale and we are pretty picky since my husband makes the best. Everything food wise that we’ve had so far has been awesome! The quality is superior, especially for the reasonable prices. We just wish it was closer to us since we live in Fountain Hills, but the drive is well worth it. Looking forward to the patio experience. If you haven’t been? GO, you will not be disappointed. Keep up the good work guys!!!
