  Granted it wasn’t super busy, Sal, our server was the best (potentially the best server I’ve ever had). I joined my husband after some shopping and he instantly brought water for me and an extra plate in case my husband wanted to share, he complimented our taste and asked us if we wanted a picture taken and created a great atmosphere and experience. I don’t know how else to thank him so this is my way of doing so. I’ve been to 3 other Nordstrom cafes this one is the best.

  I was there in May and just after we were seated a huge cockroach came out of a crevice near the window and ran across our table. We abruptly left. Today they make the Dirty Dining Report.

  They ruined this restaurant. Ive been coming for the past 17 years at this location. They updated the menu with fewer choices and made it a sit down. It is trying to be upscale yet the atmosphere is cheap and outdated. I am a former Seattlite and this is a disgrace. Nordstrom has lost its luster. The premium priced food tasted like something from an old diner in a town in the middle of nowhere. Sadly, end of an era and I will not step foot in here.

  We used to love eating at the Nordstrom cafe and have been customers at this specific location for 3+ years. Recently the restaurant changed to table service. Our experience there today was horrible. Took our waiter 10 minutes to come take our order and we were the first customers there. Our food took longer than normal to come out and when it arrived it was cold. Our waiter did not come back to check on us once we discovered the cold food. He was also unapologetic this happened to us. Please return back to ordering at the counter.

  I’m writing this review after visiting yesterday and having a terrible time. Yesterday was the first time we had to “wait to be seated” then had to wait five minutes to order because the staff was arguing among them selves. Please go back to the regular way of ordering at the counter. The Nordstrom cafe is one of my fav spots in scottsdale to eat lunch. I saw how angry the staff were being stressed by this change. There was no joy there with the new routing. All I could think was there must be new management who has no clue about how fabulous the cafe already is without this push to be a regular restaurant. The young man and woman acting as the hostesses seemed very scared and I assume it is because all of the staff are beyond frustrated. I have been eating at Nordstrom cafe for over 16 years. I love it there. However I will not be going back until it returns to original pay at the counter style. The staff deserve better. I felt bad knowing this was not their idea. It took too long to order our food. Then we had to wait for food and drinks then we had to wait to pay. Having a server added 20 min to our lunch which is time I had not planned for.
