No “grill”. Ice cream only. Photos/ menu/ name are misleading. Also no drive through.

I can't believe this place is closing. There is no better view to enjoy a sweet treat at than this.

I had my very first Blizzard (butterfinger) at the Picacho Peak location in 1985 when they were first introduced. Probably about when the store opened too.
I was working in the desert on a long-term project and the summers were hot especially miserable. This was such a welcome treat! I remember the worker handing us our Blizzards upside down with the pink spoon stuck in the middle. Quite the marketing gimmick and it worked. Went back every week for the 2 yrs of my work project.
Sorry to hear you're closing, thanks for the fond sweet memories!

Stopped on by all the way from California
I wanted the 4 piece tender meal but they said we can't make it for you because we got no food and they were rude to me then I got their pricey ice cream just for it to be a runny melting ice cream don't ever stop by here just for a snack or anything because they're rude and they don't know how to treat their customers with respect just keep driving 10 to 15 minutes ahead for eloy

Stopped at Dairy Queen while staying at Picacho Peak State Park, and it ended up being a great post-hike treat for the kids.
It’s an easy, convenient stop right off I-10, especially if you’re camping nearby. When we went, there was a noticeable rush with RV travellers and families all arriving around the same time, so service was a bit slower than usual, but it felt more like timing than anything else.
Once we got our order, the Blizzards were exactly what you want after being out in the desert sun and heat. Cold, consistent, and a simple reward after a hike.
It’s nothing complicated, but it fills a very specific role well. If you’re staying at the park, this is an easy and worthwhile stop when you want something quick, familiar, and refreshing.
