Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

- JEJason EisenJun 29, 20262.0This appears to be an older more rundown location. Fries were cold, hamburger was OK. Drinks were fine. He’s the access on Bell and 29th St. on the south east corner.

- JBJared BradleyJun 23, 20265.0I love coming to this Whataburger because even though it's in what someone consider a rough part of town the staff like Mariah the manager are super nice, there's a guy named Devon that works the evening shifts and he's always professional and on top of things, even remembers your name whenever you come in.

But this is the second time and last time that I went to Whataburger for a shake. And I was highly disappointed. You might even say kind of ruined what's supposed to be a "treat yo self" moment. The first time I got a shake there I asked for a chocolate shake and it was yellow and I couldn't even decipher what flavor it was. As it got passed around from each of my co-workers who inspected it like it was some gross science experiment, I told myself I would never go back there for a shake but I decided to punish myself and try again. This time I even asked for the shake to be extra chocolatey. Maybe they couldn't screw it up if they put a crap ton of chocolate in it. But once again you couldn't even tell what flavor it was and it was slightly yellow and the worst $6 I've ever spent in my life. And I've spent a lot of money on some gross food... Anyway, just never buy a shake from there and I'm sure everything will be fine.
