Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Don't have one near us so had to do it, pricey but delicious. Great way to kill a little time and grab a bite before heading to the airport, homeward bound!

BEWARE: BEDBUGS AT THIS LOCATION. While eating breakfast here yesterday, I found a bedbug crawling on my left pant leg. I used Google Lens to confirm the ID, caught the bug in a napkin, and personally showed it to an employee to alert them that they need immediate professional pest control. I have spent the last 24 hours heat-treating all my clothing and gear to ensure I didn't bring them home. If this exposure leads to an infestation in my apartment, I will be seeking reimbursement for all professional treatment costs. I also attached photos of the bug I found on my leg at your establishment, where I used Google Lens to confirm that it was a bedbug.

Like many of the 1 star reviews that are all similiar, this post will be much of the same.
The food quality has gone down so far that if any store owner in Texas came out here, there would be an entirely new staff at this location. Yes the patties are somehow dry and burnt but always cold. What does this mean? It means they are reheating old patties. As someone who worked cooking burgers, I can tell you when its fresh made to order and when they recook it. When it's fresh you will see clear juices/oils on the wrapper/bun and your hands from holding it, but you will never see that here.
Speaking of which, the fries. The fries are also being refried. They come out well done and get soggy in a matter of minutes. Fresh fries will never look or taste like they do here and everyone can tell the difference when their fries are good or bad. This is why.
I place my order at the speaker, get my food in somehow less than 5 minutes even though it takes that long for an order of fries to cook. I park in the parking lot to eat AND THE FOOD IS COLD. Whataburger may promise and guarantee that they make their food fresh to order but not here. I have seen the cooks throwing old order of fries back into the fryer, I just haven't said anything until the frustration finally hit a boiling point today.
THIS LOCATION AT NIGHT I HAVE SEEN REUSING OLD FOOD AND THAT IS WHY IT ALWAYS TASTES HORRIBLE NOW. THERE IS A FIX WHICH IS TO ORDER YOUR FOOD NO SALT AND THEN THEY HAVE TO MAKE IT FRESH.
Good luck everyone.
