  Visiting from New York & we stopped here twice on our trip. Saturday morning was busy but we were greeted with a smile from Ray & informed that you order at the counter then sit. The music, the decor, and the atmosphere was a 10/10. Fast service and great food. The second time we came around, the Manager Amanda remembered us- which honestly made our day , she was so attentive, kind, and accommodating for our large group. Sweetest staff and all super nice. It was refreshing :) I will be dreaming about that smoothie & waffle from Long Island. What a gem we found for our trips to AZ!

  I have seen raving reviews about the place, but personally it was nothing out of the world. Tried the french toast and its TOO sweet. I have a massive sweeth tooth and I couldn't finish it. The sweetness made my tooth ache. It's just doused in syrup, and desperately needs some other textures and flavors to balance out the sweetness and really elevate the dish. Overall, its not a bad place, but I don't think I would be going back

  Absolutely loved Sophia’s! The French toast is EVERYTHING. I also tried the chicken schnitzel and loved it, so flavorful and cooked perfectly. This is definitely the kind of place where you want to share plates so you can try a little of everything. The new summer drink menu is amazing too, I had the Honey Bee Latte and it was so good. The servers and staff were all super friendly, the music and atmosphere were upbeat and fun, and overall it was such a great experience. Will definitely be coming back and bringing everyone with me!

  The space and aesthetic was beautiful, but unfortunately, anything good about this place stops there, for me it’s important for a place to not only look good but be good! Firstly, we went on Thursday at 1:30. We knew how busy it was on the weekends and wanted to go during a slightly slower time so when we got there, there was seating and hardly any line but the place still felt kind of chaotic and loud, we grabbed a menu from the end of the line and started picking out some cocktails when we got to the cash register neither of our cocktails were available and they had a separate new menu that we needed to choose from that was only a sign at the register, so we quickly chose two different cocktails, and went to find a seat. It took over 15 minutes for us to just receive our two drinks that we ordered and when we did get them, they brought us the wrong ones so we had to wait longer for them to fix the order. The drinks were rather underwhelming, one didn’t have a garnish at all and the other a measly shriveled lemon strip and they both were way too sweet and we hardly could taste any alcohol. Unfortunately we weren’t able to finish them. As for service, the employees weren’t rude but didn’t look welcoming, hardly any smiles and they all kind of looked lost and confused or stressed out or something. It looked like there were 3 manager type workers there too, we did get a greeting from a manager after ordering our drinks while we were going to pick out some seats, it was a bit awkward honestly, something like “hi guys, yep, looks like there’s plenty of seating so you should be able to find a table” in kind of a distracted tone, again no smile and she kept looking away. Just felt sort of pointless to say. No one came over to check to see if we liked our drinks either. Overall, I left feeling very underwhelmed by another beautifully aesthetic place that clearly was just opened for instagramers.

  Yesterday I decided to stop by with a friend and her baby. I was met with one of the rudest cashiers I have ever met. She must have misunderstood my order. Before paying I asked her to fix the order, telling her she rang in too many pastries. (For reference i ordered two and she rang up three). I asked her to fix the order. Instead of doing so she proceeded to tell that I was in fact wrong and I ordered three. I respectfully told her that I order two and to take off the additional danish, she continued talking under her breath saying I was wrong. I don’t think she was paying attention considering she was checking her phone but she finally fixed the order and payed. Drinks were rudely pushed on our table by a different server. She pushed my pretty expensive handbag out of the way with the drinks still in hand. Lovely! Though I was given a number, my pastries never made it to the table which happens. I went up and got them. Another friend of mine came to join me at Sophia’s. Though the eatery is cute understandably I was still annoyed and was just trying to stay positive and move on from what happened. I wish it had been that way. My friend ordered a drink, a pastry and some food to go because they were closing in the next 45 minutes. She got her food and drink but was missing her pastry. A waitress walks by and my friend asks her if she could get the pastry she had ordered roughly 25-30 minutes prior. The waitress comes back holding a small box asking if she was sure we hadn’t gotten the pastry. Literally looking in the bag they had given us with her other food in it. We all told the waitress that no one had received the pastry my friend had ordered. We even opened up the box of my pastry’s that I had previously purchased. The waitress walks away saying she will need to check again to make sure we did not get it. We told the waitress to check the cameras they have if they were so concerned over the $6 puff pastry. she leaves taking the small box she had brought with her, I’m not sure if she thought we were lying or something but I was pretty annoyed at this point. The waitress finally comes back holding two boxes suddenly extremely sorry. She tells my friend that they are sorry for the confusion but they no longer have the pastry she ordered and payed for. She tries to offer a free pastry but the damage had been done. My friend politely asked for a refund. I am not the person to right a review, especially one this extensive but I had to share my experience. I cannot speak for the food because I did not eat anything. The pastry was okay. The drinks were not the best. I would rather support many other businesses. As someone who works in the service industry I know days can be hard and stressful but this had to be the worst experience I have had. Hopefully they can change things around because the eatery itself is cute and obviously this has nothing to do with the food itself. Service is everything in the service industry and if you can’t handle taking an order or serving people than I think that this is not the industry.
