  We had such a great experience at Sophia’s! The space is beautiful, service was friendly, and everything came out quickly. We tried the French toast and breakfast burrito and loved both, definitely understand why the French toast gets so much attention! I also saw the review below comparing Sophia’s to Sophie’s in Montana and had to look it up out of curiosity lol. I’m honestly confused by the comparison. Aside from the similar name and both being brunch spots, they look completely different. I even added a side-by-side of the French toast that was specifically mentioned and… they don’t even compare. Calling one a rip off of the other seems like quite a reach.

  Came to leave a good review and read the most current review about this place being a copy cat of another restaurant was intrigued so I searched it up and I have to say people really complain about the dumbest thing. it’s nothing a like Sophia’s counter is one of a kind I would say my experience was fun dining in and everyone is friendly, French toast is unique and I love the dulce de leche filling ! don’t let online reviews stop you from having your own experience! I would recommend Sophia’s 10/10

  Sophia’s is just a rip off of Sophie’s in Billings Montana. Same decor, signage font, lighting, food items, and overall appeal. Not sure if someone from Sophia’s came to Montana and decided to open a very similar concept in Phoenix. For sure thought Sophia’s was original but everything was a rip off right down to the French toast dish. Put a bad taste in my mouth to an amazing Ma and Pa restaurant. If you’re even in Billings Montana go to “Sophie’s a brunch counter” and you will get what I’m saying.

  I've been hearing some hype about Sophia's over the last few months and finally had a chance to give them a shot this weekend. This is a counter service breakfast/brunch/lunch spot with a fun modern vibe; I definitely see why it is blowing up on IG. We had the French Toast and the Chicken Sandwich, both were excellent. The French toast is a tad sweet for my taste but that's just my preference. We also had the vanilla almond danish while we waited for our order. There is limited parked and there was a 20 mins wait in line around 1030am on a Friday.

  I visited Sofia’s in Phoenix today and, unfortunately, witnessed something that really concerned me from a food-safety and hygiene standpoint. While I was ordering a drink, I noticed the chef, Steven, handling waffle fries from a plate that was being prepared to go out to a customer with his bare hands, while also touching other items. Shortly afterward, I went toward the restroom, which requires walking through the food service area. While waiting for a restroom to become available, I witnessed Steven tell one of the cooks that a side dish had “too much” on it and then proceed to eat tater tots directly from the side dish that appeared to be intended to be served to a customer. What concerned me even more was that, after noticing I was watching, he took the dish toward the back of the kitchen. I then approached someone in the kitchen about what I had witnessed, and I was told that this was something he does “all the time.” I understand that mistakes can happen in a restaurant, but basic food-handling and hygiene practices should be taken seriously—especially by the chef and anyone handling food that is going directly to customers. Handling food with bare hands and eating from a dish intended for a customer is simply not something I believe should be happening in a professional kitchen. I’m sharing this review because I enjoyed the food, but what I witnessed was concerning enough that I feel customers should be aware of it. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses properly. Please check security cameras in between 11:10am & 11:40am To confirm both incidents.
