My wife and I went here for dinner being that we are from louisiana we were wanting a little taste of home and were very nicely greeted by the hostess and was asked what the occasion was and we stated it was our anniversary and she made note of it.. this seemed like it was going to be a great anniversary date to begin. We were seated and then greeted by our waitress who was so friendly and welcoming at this point. We started off with the hot honey gator bites which were some of the best we've ever had and said to one another this is going to be a great place. Then we ordered a few drinks that were also very delicious and for our meals my wife got the Alaskan Alexander and I received the fried papadeax platter with a soft shell crab on the side. Again the food was outstanding and made us feel like we were bak in louisiana. It was all fresh and hot just like we like it. Let me add the food was not delivered by our server she only checked on us twice once being to bring us another round of drinks and we didnt see her again until she brought us our bill after sitting there for 5 or 10 minutes just looking around and waiting for her. Mind you this was on a Tuesday, they were not busy, and were not understaffed. It almost seemed as if she had split personalities is how fast her demeanor changed during our time there, from happy and attentive to like we werent even there and didnt matter since she had a table full on men come in. But after spending almost 300 dollars on our anniversary dinner we were not even offered a complimentary desert or drink or anything for chosing their establishment to dine for a special occasion. Not that I feel that they have to but it would've certainly showed much appreciation to us on our special night! I highly reccom3nd the food its delicious but the service could do so much better. IF we eat here again itll probably be takeout.

Ate here for Mother's day with my daughter. I lost my wallet there and have had to call 4x to find out if thwy have found a wallet and they have put me on hold for 45 minutes every. Single. Time. Still no answer of yes or no or pound sand. Zero resolution whatsoever. I guess I'll drive the hour to the restaurant but if I were the Pappas fanily executives, I would fire this GM. PLUS, Pappadeauxs' portions are small and WAY overpriced. I can fo to Steak 44 or Mastros for the same cost. Awful service, mediocre food, and the same kind of care for their customers you'd find in a street pharmacist or wells fargo.

We waited for 15 minutes after a reservation had been made. The service cycle Incredibly slow. Our order was not taken until our appetizers were almost completely finished. We actually had to wave down the waiter to take our order. With that being said, we waited nearly 55 minutes for our entrées to be served to our table The manager visited our table twice to apologize for the delay and then personally delivered our food The manager took the liberty to discount our entrées however, by the time our food was delivered, some of our party was no longer even hungry after the more than 2 1/2 hour dining experience This was not our first time visiting Pappadeaux’s. It’s actually one of our favorite restaurants. This however, was our second bad dining experience within the past three months The Quality of dining experience is regretfully declining with each visit

I cannot praise this restaurant enough.I took my mom here for both mother's day and her birthday which is a course on the same day. She has a few complex food allergies, especially for a seafood restaurant. Not only did they manage to verify everything that was going to be going into the food itself went out of their way to communicate and double-check to make sure that things were okay But they also, we're extraordinarily kind and made things specifically for her. Now the food itself was immaculate. Beautifully cooked octopus, not rubbery or tough at all. The food itself was very high.Quality delicious with no errors whatsoever. It was a little bit spicier than I expected. But I feel like that's more on me with it.Being Cajun cuisine. All in all a beautiful restaurant, an amazing esthetic. A fantastic staff, a great menu. I cannot recommend enough. 100/10 stars

Since I've been coming to Pappadeaux for around 20 years, I thought maybe I should leave a review. My first experience at Pappadeaux was at the original location in Houston. Have been eating at the location in Phoenix for probably 7 years now. I will just say this. I have never had a bad meal at Pappadeaux, EVER. They are the only restaurant I know that never cuts corners, ever, ever, ever to save a penny or a buck. They are not like other corporate restaurants which are focused on their shareholders rather than their customers, and are therefore pennypinching ninnies when it comes to providing outstanding service. I could name names of some so-called "fancy" restaurant chains, but I won't because it's against Google's rules. Haha!! I cannot say enough good things about Pappadeaux. My wife and I get VIP service every single time for years and years and years. The food is incredible every single time. Read that again. Every single time. I don't know how they do it but other restaurants should emulate Pappadeaux if they want to be super successful. There is not another restaurant out there that even comes close to the consistency quality and never ever cutting corners. I highly recommend the Texas Redfish Ponchartrain. Topped with crab meat, grilled shrimp, and a rich buttery sauce. I get the fish blackened. My wife likes the Cobb salad that is served on a plate the size of a turkey platter, and has crab meat, shrimp, loads of the best bacon you've ever had, and much more. Just go there if you never have. You'll have the time of your life
