I can’t remember our waitress name but she appeared to be apart of the LGBT community(no disrespect intended). She was very dry. We heard Happy Birthday singing across the restaurant so we informed her that it was my sister’s birthday. She shut all hopes of getting a song down. “Oh I’m not doing none of that” and she didn’t. She was away from our table for long periods of time and when she brung out the desert it was the saddest happy birthday I ever heard in my life. The food was amazing as usual but that waitress gets a 2/10. It made my little sister feel so bad that everybody around the restaurant was getting loud and vibrant Happy Birthday songs except her.

Visited Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen on Black Canyon Highway—buzzing but not overwhelming. The vibe was warm, with a lively yet comfortable energy. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and made recommendations that hit all the right notes. The food? Generous portions, fresh, and flavorful—especially the crab dip and salmon. Prices felt fair for the quality. Parking was straightforward, though the lot filled up fast. A small suggestion: arrive early if you want a table without waiting. Worth every bite!

This has been my favorite restaurant in Phoenix for over 20 years now! I'm originally from New Orleans and been here since 2001, so when I found my people, I fell in love and been a fan since. The service is 100% top notch... just like in the French Quarter. The staff is super helpful and pleasant and the servers really know their stuff. I like to sit in the bar and I've never had a bad experience... and I'm a really picky customer. I always order things they used to serve and they are soooo accommodating every single time. This last visit, my server brought me all the ingredients and precisely made my (off old menu) appetizer table side. If you want to impress a lady or friends or just need a warm phenomenal atmosphere with impeccable dining, your taste buds will love you for the tantalizing experience! Warning: it's not cheap, but it's definitely worth every penny and then some.

I've been going to this Papadeaux location for at least 20yrs. We made online reservations for our friend to celebrate her Birthday and was very disappointed. I don't know what happened but this use to be one of our favorite place to go and celebrate special occasions. We live an hour away and would make the drive for the food and service. Everything that was served from the appetizers to the main course was not even sub par. The food was very salty not just a little but a lot where you think whoever is making the gumbo just poured a tub of salt in the pot. Then I get to my catfish and dirty rice and I've lived in Louisiana before and know the creole taste and that was not Cajun but just again pure salt dish. There were 5 of us and we all said the same thing that our meals were not what remembered. Our server Brandon was not very personable and he seemed annoyed with us asking too many questions because we remembered the old menus and didn't see our favorites on the current menu. We spent $400. 00 and were very disappointed with our food and service. I think Papadeux needs to go back and do better like 20yrs ago.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We’ve been going to Pappadeaux for years in Chicago, so when we came here, we were excited to see if the food would be just as good — and it absolutely is! No matter what we order, it never disappoints. From the oysters and spinach dip to the Mardi Gras Pasta and gumbo, everything is always delicious. But what truly makes the experience top tier is the service, and Ashley is hands down THEE BEST server! She doesn’t just wait on your table — she makes you feel like she’s having dinner right along with you. She makes sure your food comes out correctly and HOT, your drinks are replenished before you even realize you need a refill, and she’s constantly checking in without ever making you feel rushed or bothered. Great food will bring you back, but exceptional service makes you ask for the same server every time. Ashley is officially our girl at Pappadeaux! Give that woman her flowers! 💐👏🏾
