Food was delicious, although something I ate gave me an up set stomach. Most likely it was the salmon. They charged me twice for an appetizer order of cheese sticks. I noticed it and respectfully addressed it. The manager came and spoke to me. Removed the extra charge. I understand mistakes happen. Also, I strongly believe when mistakes like this happen. Besides them fixing the mistake they should make it right. By complimentary dessert or a proper discount. I still tipped the waiter a reasonably. Overall I would go back.

Audrey was our waitress, and she shared that she was celebrating more than 20 years with Pappadeaux. Her passion for serving others was evident in every interaction. She didn't treat us like customers—she treated us like family. It never felt like she was simply doing a job; it was clear that caring for people is something she genuinely loves.
Our experience would not have been the same without Audrey. Her warmth, professionalism, and authentic hospitality made our visit truly memorable. Pappadeaux should be proud to have such a dedicated team member representing its franchise. Thank you, Audrey, for making our family feel so welcome. We will never forget your kindness, one love from your distant relatives in Seattle.
I have frequently been eating the Shrimp & Crawfish Fondu - minus the spinach and mushrooms at the Black Canyon Pappadeaux location in Phoenix every since they opened back in 2000. For the appetizer I have watched the cost go from $8 to $29 a 360% increase. And they no longer offer it as a dinner just an appetizer.
Now that their getting dinner prices for an appetizer why not?
However the 3 shrimp and 7 Crawfish is not even half of what they use to put in the fondu.
The dish use to have cheese hardened over the edges, this time not even half way up the dish.
I have accepted that everything cost more even allowing for the needless gougeing. However the quality and proportions should never be compromised.
Very disappointed in what use to be my go to place to eat out.
I have noticed this kind of result happening in many areas of life these days.
American pride and value appears to be loosing a step.

Huge Disappointment. We go to Pappadeaux whenever we are in a city that has one. Texas (Dallas, Austin and Houston), Atlanta and for our first time Phoenix.
We arrived on a Thursday with no reservation. Half the restaurant was empty but we were told our party of 5 had to wait 30 minutes for a table. Multiple parties of 2, 3 and even 4 arrived and were seated but for some reason the magic number of 5 with literally half the tables empty was a problem.
That should have been our first clue to leave. Our food took forever. Appetizers came out five minutes before our entrees. EVERYONE of us hated our food. Absolutely nothing about the dishes were even remotely close to the same menu item that we had eaten in other states with consistency! The fried catfish had no seasoning on it at all. The mashed potatoes werw instant (the blandest mashed potatoes I have ever had) no butter, salt or anything was added). The pasta Mardi gras had different noodles and different sausage then any other pappadeaux we have ever eaten at. The Atlantic Halibut & Jumbo Crab was over cooked and flavorless.
We spent $400 and none of the food was actually good or anything close to what we have come to love a out Pappadeaux! NEVER EVER again!
